It's time to update Ash's irons!
So we take him through a full in depth iron custom fitting!
Testing out heads like the 2024 Callaway CB and MB, the Titleist T100, and Mizuno JPX 923 Tour.
Which head will come out on top??
Then we go to dialing in the shaft, testing out Project X, Dynamic Gold, Nippon Modus, KBS and Aerotech Steelfiber.
This way we can be absolutely sure we get the very best head and shaft combo!

Fair play to Ash, very open minded about head and shaft and walks out with something completely different. Final shaft looked very comfortable for him.

Incredible channel, but quick editing tip: Audio is only coming through the left channel. You should be able to even it out pretty easily. Small thing, but super noticeable. Love your content! Cheers from the states!

The audio difference from the steelfibers are strikingly different from the rest. So it came through for me. Good vid 👍

Great as always. With him coming in with a blade was there a reason you went towards the JPX Tour in the Mizuno offering opposed to the 241 ?

The jpx is basically a blade .. less forgiveness and 'tech' than any of the others tested bar the new apex mb@@cameronloveless1751

The numbers seemed to be just as good if not a little better with the modus 120x and I didn't see him hit that shaft to the right side of the green. Maybe the difference in the weight? I'm guessing they were close but he liked the feel/sound of the steel fiber so that's why he went with that?

With the T100, will there be issues with bounce, turf interaction, etc. if you bend the short irons two degrees weak?

Curious about the ending of the video, he said the steel fiber felt so heavy why not try a lighter steel fiber? And see how that felt? 115gram?

I think the dispersion was best on T100. He was actually hitting a 5 yard draw vs the Mizuno which all ended right side

It’s funny how the appeal of a head can rule the heart over the head. It’s not like Ash was hitting bad shots with the 923 but that feeling of loving the irons in your bag is such a big part of golf

That could just be the slightly more upright lie angle. If so, can easily be addressed.

Surprised that you did not check to see results from a slightly lighter shaft like the NS 105 and 115.

The 115 is the same weight as the 120. And for someone of Ash's speed and strength there just won't be any benefit going down to 105

How will the lower launch and higher spin affect his ball flight and distance into the wind?

Wind always exaggerates the spin on the ball so it would definitely climb more and get pretty punished distance wise. But Ash is a good player so if it was strong enough he would just hit a knock down or take 1 club more and smooth it to reduce spin

I would hate to go to a fitting and get fit into a iron head that is going to be replaced with the new model in weeks or a few months like these Mizuno 923's , I personally would have gone with the T100's for that reason and the better resale value but if you keep them till they are worn out then i guess it doesn't matter , I never own my irons long enough to even replace the grips then wear them out lol.

In fairness this way filmed probably over 6 months ago now, he’s had these irons for a while already 😂 but yeah if you’re going to keep them for years it doesn’t really matter as they don’t really change performance wise much at all anymore when new models come out

I watch quite a lot of fitting video's...TXG and Precision and yourself mainly....I notice Simon at Precision seems to do more work with swing weight.....and changing swing weight....is there a reason you don't seem to mess around with this or is it player specific The only reason I ask is I want to get an in-depth fitting and feel I'm very sensitive to swing weight....so wonder how important it is...
