Hugo played very well. He was toe to toe against Ma Long in all the rounds in terms of points. But Ma Long always reached the decisive point before

Interesting that he's using xiom omega tour with a cream sponge. I wonder if it's a custom xiom sponge, or the sponge he's used to from the target gt51?

ma long is with incredibly amazing skills but really did his fans have to SCREAM every time when the two players having a break? i think it’s kind of annoying for both the players 😅😅

Breaking News alert "Table Tennis is not Chess" The Sport desperately needs an injection of liveliness and fan-centric excitement. I'm very pleased to see what the Chinese fans( I miss Zhang Jike), Harimoto, Truls and the Lebrun brothers etc are bringing to the sport. It's a much-needed breath of fresh air and will result in a bigger global following, public interest and attendance at major tournaments. This could only be good for the game going forward.

So FZD lost here in this tournament and ML won, does it mean that ML will win this title now?! so those top Chinese players keep dominating for title after title? Kind of that the Olympics and maybe WTTC final will be between ML and FZD again.

Calderano dared Ma Long's forehand way too often, that's a surefire way not to win against him. FZD avoids Ma Long's forehand. Even Ma Long evades Quadri Aruna's forehand. That's the most basic of tactics, of course you gotta stick to that or you won't win. And Calderano plays too many high-risk powershots, which only hit the mark 1x out of 3x, which is not good enough

I counted at least 5 times when Hugo hid the ball in his palm or tossed it using his fingers. None of the times he was given a notice. Umpires are blind and/or bought. So glad it didn’t work out for him and the GOAT still won the game. IMO Hugo deserves dismissal from the next event for his unsportsmanlike behaviour.

Are you talking about his curled fingers disability. His left hand has a weird curling finger twitch, its known to the umpires. Which times in the video are you talking about specifically?
