This is an rgb laser mate, not a normal video projector. I'm currently trawling the Web trying to find a decent semi budget option for my own home setup to accomplish something like this, just got a compact smoke machine for Xmas £30 or so, you can pick up a laser that will do this for anywhere between £100-400 depending on your budget, I'll be using mine for photography/ video applications too let me know if you want a point / link in the right direction 😀

For clarification, the smoke is necessary, to make the lasers visible to the naked eye otherwise they will only show up on the surface they're being projected on also whether or not you can create your own shapes / patterns depends on if you purchase a laser with ILDA input (International laser display association) from there you can get software on your computer to design your own shows / patterns / text and sync with audio, the possibilities Really are endless but it's a Ballache and not dirt cheap to get it off the ground if you want to be able to design your own shows

Rather than just get one loaded with its own presets, worth noting you can find some with Micro-sd ports which you can put your own patterns on but these are quite rare to my knowledge, good search terms to start with are 'ILDA Laser' 'RGB Laser' 'Animation laser' and any interchangeable variations thereof will provide you with lots of options on KZfaq, ebay and amazon etc

Point that laser at the center of a fan with a mirror glued to the center slightly raised. 1 year too late though.

So they have the projector pointed at the camera, then they project a black screen with a ring in the middle that is rainbow colored. Then you shit out a little fog

Fair play I'll give that a crack thanks mate got a smoke machine already that could be a good very budget solution in a pinch if u haven't got a laser haha

You must buy Full RGB ILDA laser, small fog machine (for indor use) or 3-4 big one (for outdor use) and DAC Interface with dedicated software. Thats all :)
