Also he has royal guard code by which he lives until ending, he allways walk behind Zelda in the end they walk side by side. Zelda has crush on him, and she cant figure him out, and he tries his best to do his job, and not step out of line. Thats why he is silent. He became more silent the stronger and older he got, he was trained since childhood how he should behave. In his mind he needs to act that way because thats highes honor, his mission comes first and all his feelings and oppinions should be put away. In the end i think we have romantic ending, since he first time broke his character, and all hints from game that Zelda is falling in love with him. In the end when mission is over they run to each other and walk side by side as eaqul. She also gives her first childlike smile. Also that flower in the end silent princense are super rare in lore and cant be tamed only grow in wildernes, so seeing them fllorish means she is finaly free and she can open up. Also her power come from love for Link same as that fish girl. I think game was about their character development and getting togeather.

The problem with that is Link really doesn't have a character. He's more like a tool then a person. Hell, even Chief from Halo has more personality. That said, I'd rather he be a mute with no personality then the "well excuuuuse me, princess" version.

Parker Berg I don’t think that’s an issue in all honesty. They found a voice for all characters, heck, they even did find one for Link. Whoever does his iconic “Hyah!” Can definitely voice him, especially since it is the voice we would be most accustomed to. But, we’ve also have become accustomed to Link not talking and as mentioned above, he’s more of a tool for people to project on.

I don't how I feel about this Zelda. Sometimes she hates Link and other times she likes him. I think she was more jealous of him being the choosen hero and her just being the princess who can't unlock the powers like all the other Zelda's in the other games.

@@lazlow8788 She doesn't like him at first, which Urbosa reveals in the first memory is due to him being "a reminder of her own failures", as well as in Urbosa's personal memory aboard Naboris. Over time, she grows to care about Link, revealed in her diary in Hyrule Castle, as well as the later memories where she opens up to him, such as in the one where Link is training and Zelda's taking cover from the rain, and she slowly grows to trust him because of events such as where he saves her from the Yiga. It's not one or the other, ever, and you can see this in the video with all the memories and other cutscenes put together.

I believe her feelings for Link changed when he saved her from the Yiga Clan. And I don't think it was her love for Link but to protect him as he did her, for the sake of Hyrule as well.

I think it's left unclear because you can defeat Ganon and get that ending at any point, but the extra ending you unlock from finding all the memories shows that Link truly does remember her.

The way that scene is now should have just been without the memories, and change that scene slightly if he does have the memories instead of stand there staring for 20 seconds. (I know there’s a bonus scene with all memories but they still could have made the first scene better)

By the way...I don't understand why some people insist that Hylia is continually reincarnated herself as Zelda. I *might* be wrong, but seems to me that Hylia only reincarnated herself once...in _Skyward Sword._ After that, it is her descendants that carry on her bloodline and the power it contains. She can't both be there, frustrated as Zelda in this game, AND answering the statues Link prays at. Zelda also makes it clear that all her female antecedents had this power...they can't ALL be Hylia reincarnated, living at the same time...grandmother, mother, daughter. No, the power's in her bloodline. It might be that at some points, Link was even a prince of Hyrule.

Yeah, I get that it was designed to be cinematic but still. This would’ve been the perfect time to show off the original idea for the Ganon fight in Ocarina of Time where Link would’ve had to climb Ganon and damage him Shadow of the Colossus style. We’ve come a long way since the Nintendo 64, the Wii U had the power for the OOT idea.

I think it’s because at some point Gannon’s resurrection wasn’t done properly and eventually he began to morph into a less human like thing like the pig monster. At BOTW he’s basically super fucked up.

There also should have been a reward of some sort for doing it, like a new armor set

in this game, he actually does have a personality. he has a personal journal, which is the game's quest log. for some reason Nintendo of America decided to change all the "I"s in the quest log into "You"s so it sounds like the system is talking but, in actuality, it's Link's thoughts and feelings. Go back and play it again but change all the "You"s in the quest log to "I"s and you will see Link shining through. This is how it is done in the original Japanese version of the game.

I also did Medoh last. Seemed a lot of people did from watching other Let's Plays. But the beauty of this game is that anything is possible in any order. I have played through the game 4 more times and I went for Naboris first. It's OP and destroys everything. Went for Medoh second and then the other two was whatever I felt like at the time but interchangeable. But I always went Naboris first after the first time.
