This wasn't Marvel though, in the sense that it's not part of the MCU. This was produced by Sony since they own the rights to the character.

I love how they went to the trouble of dressing up London Undergrounds stations as NYC subway instead of just filming there , I moved to American but I used to use that station all the time as a teen

This honestly just a fun action movie. Maybe it does play itself a little serious at times but stinger/end credits aside this is a good ass 1st attempt for a marvel character thats hard enough to sell as is.
