Full Thermal Foxing HIKMICRO THUNDER

Plenty of foxing, all thermalised in todays video.
Having now had the HIKMICRO Thunder for a few weeks, the more I use it, the more I love it.
Taking foxing without problems at up to 243 yards, this fantastic scope just got better….

Nice bit of shooting for the night. I only watched it because I'm thinking of buying a HIKMICRO Thunder myself. While I'm an Ex Pat living in NZ (33Yrs), I do miss foxing, just glad we dont have them here! I still shoot rabbits, hares and possums with a Tikka T1X in 22Lr. But I have a Tikka T3X in 243 for deer, thar and chamois. Just come in from shooting possum with a red light head torch and red spotlight ontop of my scope. White light makes them move for cover, so I can't see their eyes.

I use to “lamp” years ago. Even shooting with NV now feels like a big backward step. So the true way forward is 100% thermal.

Still watching the video but super impressed by these thermal optics, great shooting too. Ive just started my first year of fox shooting last december currently on 39 foxes off one permission so far hoping to make it 40 before the end of the year nice work !

would the HIKMICRO Thunder Pro TE25 be good for fox hunting? I'm new to thermal and this one is pretty much the only one in my budget.

To be perfectly honest. You really want any of the Q range, and or with the 50mm lenses for foxing. What’s your budget? I ask because I might know of probably the cheapest 50mm thermal scope out there available.

Cracking nights foxing, im set on the panther and about to pull the pin as i want something with a range finder, I use a Infiray TD50 L on my HMR and was looking at their thermals but think the Hik thermals have more definition whats your view on my thoughts. what calibre are you using in this video.

I love the panther. The little dial is really good. I’ll be brutally honest and say that the image quality is pretty much the same, except when (and this is the reason Hik’s better) the moister level is higher. It cuts through very well.

The footage you are getting on the Hik looks better than anything I’m getting with Pulsar. I wouldn’t take a 243 yard shot with my Trail2 as I don’t trust it’s zero holding capability. I may just swap it for a Hik. I’m can’t justify 5k scopes that can’t stay accurate anymore. Sorry Pulsar, you’ve had well over ten grand out of me and they are not worth the money.
