I've watched most of these roundtables and it seems to be what THR goes for in bringing in actors/actresses at different ages/cultures to not just expose that angle to each other but to the viewing audience too.

Sandra Oh is so right. Diversity is only beneficial if it’s done correctly and well informed. You need people behind AND in front of the camera for representation to work.

dont forgot qualified too. i wouldnt think highly of someone if they just hire me just bc im asian and call it diversity. these two women are proof that we can pave the way for others to get represented. i’m also curious why gemma chan or maggie q hasnt been on the roundtables considering they have many projects before hoyeon or maybe it depends on what kind of project they’re working on to be able to sit and talk on this roundtable

I love how Sandra is requetioning the question that is thrown at them. She does not want this to be just another entertainment and a show, but like panel discussing about acting itself or a discussion about the philosophy behind acting. Such a great actor.

A genuine reaction of celebration and happiness for Hoyeon’s magical performance in Squid Game and her self-realization. Womanhood must be centered and celebrated like this always. Wonderful actors. Makes me happy to watch and learn. Their conversation was deeply gratifying!!! 💕🎉❤️

It’s so amazing to see hoyeon here!! She was listening so closely every time someone else was speaking and it really showed that she was just grateful to be there and learn all of the other actress’ like tips tricks and secrets it was so cool. Love her!!!

I really enjoyed Sandra Oh's and Christina Ricci's veteran actress perspective and advice to Hoyeon. They seem like very smart women who understand their craft. Lily James is quite charming, I am not familiar with Emmy Rossum but if Rosario Dawson says one more time how she started acting as a teenager...

Rosario Dawson is so underrated and she had some amazing points here about the gatekeepers of Hollywood & their power etc. I definitely got the impression she was talking about Tarantino at 30+ mins. I love that she stands in her power and champions all kinds of stories no matter how 'whimsical' they may be!

I loved hearing what these amazing actresses had to say about their craft and the changes in the industry. And i'm so glad they were so supportive of Hoyeon, I can't imagine being in her position and being so new at a table of veterans and the imposter syndrome she must have been feeling. So the fact that they comforted her and gave her advice and confirmed her talent was so heartwarming.

I agree, but I also want to add that this is not a table for those of matched talent or for people on the same level. I think even big amazing actors enjoy opportunities to talk like this because it's about human communication, connecting and even learning - they don't often get to talk to eachother like this like hoyeon, she's new to acting but this is a great moment for her to have because she can hear what these women have to say and take in their experience and lessons they've learnt in life, its so easy to feel alienated. also. it's so interesting when there's a table full of people at different levels or skills, because it's just so informative and enriching.

You can tell so much about people by how they react to another person’s vulnerability and the way Christina reaction when Hoyeon started crying was very sweet. She was trying to bring comfort and connection in that moment. She’s just a cool person.

She does exude and give off really sweet and down to earth vibes everytime I've seen her either in screen or off. Never heard about any controversies with her including rumors of tantrums and arrogance. Probably why she was survived and succeeded for decades till now in this ruthless business!

I absolutely love how these roundtables always have 1 or 2 new or younger actors in a table of mostly veterans. It leads to a lot of great discussions on what the industry was like then vs now as well leads to a lot great advice giving opportunities.
