Daniel is a healthy, active man with tension in the right side of the neck, which we identified as coming from the right shoulder, pectoralis, and cervicothoracic junction. The main symptom was in the upper trapezius muscle, but the pattern was (as usual) broader and involved the whole upper body.
This video covers techniques for assessment and treatment of neck, shoulder, arm, scapular, rib, and lumbar regions. Please consider subscribing to keep up with our content.
Palpation of neck and upper back 0:00
Screening for shoulder injury 4:00
Rhomboid, upper trapezius work 4:47
Lower back work 8:00
Rib cage mobilization and release 8:45
Release of tight right shoulder and rotator cuff 9:56
Shoulder traction, arm and forearm release 11:45
Wrist and hand release 13:20
Scalenes, neck, clavicle releases 14:25
Sidelying pectoralis release 17:50
Comments and questions welcome! I enjoy engaging with others who appreciate the work, or who simply find our videos calming.

I can relate to the patient saying he still remembers the first "crack". I went to a massage therapist friend of mine a couple of times 7-8 years ago before he moved to a different part of the country. And once he used acupuncture needles for dry needling on a few trigger points in my trapezius muscles. And those first couple of twitches that were very violent still lingers with me to this day. I would love to experience that feeling once again. 😂😂

As the story goes, Daniel then beat the crap out of the good Doctor for not giving him the crack he felt he should have been given.

I have a question if I may ask. What's the name for a doctor that performs this type of examination and treatment? Is it a specific speciality or is it something that all physicians learn to do and I just didn't know?
@DrRussInYourPocket
@DrRussInYourPocket 10 ай бұрын
This is known as myofascial release. It's practiced by chiropractors, physical therapists, and massage therapists. Not all of these providers are trained or skilled in these techniques. I recommend asking the individual providers their training and experience with myofascial release work.
