I must have watched a different game than everyone else, I know the opposition wasn't the best, but even taking that into consideration we controlled the game and didn't for the first time in months just kick the ball back to the opposition. The goals against were an individual error, nothing to do with tactics or how the game was panning out, and lets give credit were it's due, a well worked goal with a great finish, that happens in games of football sometimes, without the error a 4-1 win against a compact side trying to make it difficult to break them down, that's fine by me. I'm not over the moon and anticipating a new dawn of total dominance after this win, but FFS you'd think we got hammered 6-0 from some people!

I completely agree. In fact, I feel we could've scored 5-6 goals easily and won the game by a bigger margin. The team has been out of sorts for most of the season, but I must say I never felt uneasy watching the game yesterday. They looked pretty much in control.

No “resilience” against Brentford, Chelsea or Bournemouth when it would’ve mattered in the CL race. Let’s see if they can stomach it against Palace, Arsenal, Newcastle, Brighton and City.

Our defence is 2 rb, one legged cdm, and maguire.. We have a 19 year old playing cdm with an equally legged eriksen, and attackers who look like they dont give a shit. The excuses for this manager are unbelievable. We were playing Sheffield United ffs. We have a better squad than Sheffield with or without injuries. Should be playing better than that. ETH has shown us nothing for us to keep him. We quite literally play the worst football in all of Europe.

Considering the patch up team we had, was happy with yesterdays performance. The ball rotation and retention was good. Good build up plays. Gutted by the individual errors but the game was better than i have seen throughout the season.

Totally agree. Said the same last night. Garnacho balances the side better. Works harder, puts a tackle in(unlike fashford). Always shows for the ball. Gets back and defends too.

this game was different actually. Instead of us being completely outplayed and being lucky to win, we completely outplayed them and they were lucky to score. The possession and shot stats reflect this.

BACK THE MANAGER He’ll get us there. There’s progression. Theres been extenuating circumstances this season. 3 finals in two seasons. Proven track record in developing youth. We’re seeing it right now. Long term success takes time. Be patient.

United's record in 2024 is 11W-4D-3L in all comps. One of those losses (Chelsea) & one of the draws (Liverpool) were due to terrible penalty calls that somehow VAR didn't overturn. Winning those 2 matches would make United's 2024 record 13-3-2. That's with the ridiculous number of injuries & everything else swirling around the club. The outrage around United's performance is honestly ridiculous.

How many times have we been in this same situation this season? Awful run of results followed by 1 win against literally the worst team in the league & suddenly everything is fine? As someone who has watched Sheffield a fair bit cause my flatmate is from there....I can't begin to explain how shocking it is that it was 2-2 80mins in.

I thought the performance was good yesterday, controlled the game for the vast majority, I think Eth is still getting sacked at the end of the season, to many unresolved issues in games, to many games where we're to easy to play against

We have been shit at defending those types of goals since olé even a bit with mourinho, i played CM and alot of them is the midfields fault for losing the man they should be marking and being out of position.

It's not about been over dramatic it's the fact that nothing has changed in 8 months, Were easy to play against way to soft.. I do want Ten Hag to get one more season with a squad of players who he brought in, Changing manager's every 2 or 3yr changes nothing just back to square one, It's about time that the players take responsibility.. And I like that ETH is giving the youths there chance.. But he needs to make us hard to play against obviously the only people who enjoy watching us play is the haters and the neutrals they just can't hold onto a lead must be a dream to play against but with the right players in the right positions it should be an easy enough fix it's not rocket science...

we could have won 5-0 last night, but the Ten Hag out brigade would still find fault with the performance. We were all over them, they only had 5 shots that i saw, Onana made a rare mistake ( De Gea did similar last year!) the other goal was poor defending by our (5th choice defensive partnership) get real, injury wise we are in the crap. We showed great resilience and kept control and came back to win, to be honest it could have been 7-2 if we had took our chances. Even SAF would have struggled with these injuries. And an average squad, only Martinez, Dalo, Mainoo, Bruno, Hojland and Garnacho would get into one of his squads. So why do we expect ETH to work miracles. Stop doing the medias work for them, they want TEN Hag out to sell more papers /get more clicks, then get even more doing the new manager possibilities. That's all they want, the last thing the media want is a successful united as it sells less papers!

Now I think of it Man Utd should at least give Erik ten Hag 1 more year to fix this mess and get rid of some players who don't want to play and get them out. Overall 23/24 Man Utd have been mixed very bad very average at times. But at the end they haven't been thrashed by anyone which is suprising. But the injuries have cost some results and some silly errors they haven't perform to a good standard. They win and yeah get on with it. If you play really and get punished take it. If you play very well not take your chances then don't win then that's just shows there's no creative spark. Man Utd didn't play that bad even though Sheff Utd had chances they were gifted a goal and the other one was switch off. All you do now is on Saturday afternoon at home to Burnley is just play simple and don't act like clowns take the chances and hem in Burnley and yeah maybe take a 2-0 win. It's the last game of the month that's all I want. Get a win but play decent to a point where it matches the result.

So my girlfriends assistant in work her step father is a first team coach at united, I won’t say the name. But he says all the players don’t give a shit apart from maguire Bruno and dalot and acadamy players rest of them don’t want to be there. They answer back to ten hag. He kept them so late on Sunday after they got back and was individually picking the players out for what they were doing wrong. We need to get rid of these players or they win again

Feel for Ten Hag in that regard, but have no sympathy for him when he keeps making the same mistakes. We conceded from another cutback last night. A resilient United was beating a double winning Arsenal side with 10 men in ‘99. Coming back from 3-1 down to turn over a formidable Juventus team in Turin. Clinging on against Bayern Munich and then snatching it with two late goals. Now we’re resilient for needing penalties to beat Coventry after leading 3-0 and coming from behind to beat the worst team in the premier league. The standards are well and truly gone.

Bruno has been great lately, but he’s incredibly wasteful at times. How many times have united had the early scoring chances only to miss and end up conceding. He always opts for the most difficult technique making slim margins slimmer. Put him deeper on the pitch with more restraint and he would be better served making tackles and spraying the ball around. EtH can’t kick the ball in the net and is proven to work well with the youth, it would be moronic to pay him to leave after this season filled with injuries.

SO many players are injured a midfield player is forced to take the place of a center back. Relying on an 18 year old for transition cohesiveness. Depending on a 19-year old who has now played in 33 games in a row for explosive play and goals. Relying on another 19-year old who’s made the jump, not from Serie A or even the Bundesliga but from DANISH league football football and has lost games to injury… one goal a deflection, the other a lapse in concentration. Meantime the #2 team in the EPL table lost to a team that, even WITH the 10 points they were punished, would today be 12th. ten Hag OUT!

Bruno is an amazing player. But his game encourages chaos. Zero game management. Even when losing in my humble opinion you should work your way as a team to get through and get back in. As soon as he gets the ball he boots it up the field to the first he sees. Im not saying he should leave but he needs to transmit a bit more of calmness and trust to his team if not, whats the point of playing possession based football?
