A lot of your wasted bonemeal comes from bonemealing grass. If you make it so the pistons push out a second row of logs, the dispensers will stop wasting bonemeal once the grass grows two tall.

I think it would be amazing to have this farm that can stock every block stage too. So moss, bonemeal, logs, rooted dirt, dirt, and mud. That way you could leave this farm running to get all those resources

You could also automate clay (somewhat) just let the blocks sit on some dripstone before they go to the tnt blast chamber, because of how slow the farm is most of the blocks would become clay

When you jumped to farm concepts that would use the player; I feel you skipped the most efficient one: Just filter the Azaleas out of (a way smaller) moss farm, and give them to a player that keeps planting them (with just one bonemeal dispenser) just like you would do for a wood farm. Also... you could just make it a wood farm; that with an added mechanism/module would just also happen to produce mud as a by-product! Imo; an azalea-wood farm with the add thing for mud would be the way to go. I hope to see that one soon! 😛

You can check for an azalea bush by dumping water from above. It will resist breaking from that direction while everything else moss generates breaks. Of course, you can't have a dispenser there, because it would stop the azalea from growing, so you have to zero tick a waterlogged stairs over it before retracting it two blocks away. Dispensers and a bucket refilling system was needed in the back to waterlog the stairs again after each retraction.

If you decide to make a farm that uses a player, would using 2x2 spruce trees be the best way or would it be better to use a moss farm to automatically supply the player with azaleas/flowering azaleas? A player could automatically place 4 azaleas in 4 ticks, and an automatic moss farm is probably way easier to do than a farm automatically supplying spruce saplings.

Even if the rooted dirt farm could be improved so its less wasteful, this is something that is interesting to build on an area you have a lot of farms. I have built the bone meal farm already, and its connected to an azalea tree farm and I have a control pannel to select if I want oak, bone meal, or just the moss items, what I can do is add another option: send the bone meal to the rooted dirt farm. Also, the blast chamber could be used for other farms, thats something nice to do, have 1 blast chamber for a lot of farms.

Something I will always find amusing about your English is how you always use the conditional present instead of the indicative future. For example, where one would normally say "it will do this" (a statement of fact), you say, "it would do this" (a statement of conditional truth, i.e. "it would do this if that condition was true"). I'm not sure why but I find it to be a fun quirk.

You could also place azalea saplings directly and have those convert moss below in rooted dirt. The saplings and the bonemeal could be obtained from a smaller, less laggier moss farm. The player needs to afk placing saplings but is surely faster
@pingidjit
@pingidjit 2 жыл бұрын
Another method would be filtering out the azalea bushes from the bonemeal farm (it would still make enough bonemeal to feed itself, i've tested this when using the bushes as fuel for my smelters). Then having a player afk placing those bushes instead of randomly bonemealing moss hoping for the bushes, just like any tree farm design before. If you actually make it into a tree farm, some of the leave drops would also be bushes that could be fed back to the player to plant.

I think a good way to make a farm for a single player would be something like your concrete converter. You could place dirt extremely quickly and have it converted into mud. This would need to be done in multiple streams, but high speed concrete converters do this anyway. I just think that the best way would be to farm each state individually, so you'd have a podzol based dirt farm or a high-speed coarse dirt crafter, but then converting it would be a problem (unless you have a huge batch of dirt, then split off half of the coarse product to be turned straight to mud and half to regular dirt in a later step). This would be something like: 100 dirt + 100 gravel = 100 mud + 100 coarse dirt. For multi-player, the podzol method seems better. For single player, I'm not quite sure. If you could cut the lag on this down, I can see the appeal, but the main positive I see here is that it's player free.
