That's a really nice concept! Could you modify it in such a way so that the chicken doesn't get cooked? Maybe use wither roses? I don't know about others but I think cooked chicken is a good food, and steak/porkchop or golden carrots are definitely better. If the chicken can be collected raw, then I can at least sell them to Butcher villagers and get a bunch of emeralds. Loved the video though! Keep going on with your amazing innovations!❤️

Entity cramming would kill those chickens, though it may kill the little ones too who don't drop and would slow down the farm. Perhaps you could use suffocation for the big ones as chicks can go in 1/2 height and chickens take up a full block.

Currently on 1.19 the way the chicken farm is built here it won't spread the sculk. The chicken needs to die either on top or right next to a sculk block to generate a charge. I reccommend moving the hopper where the baby chicken get dispensed below the lava cauldron behind and down so the hopper is on level with the sculk block. That fixed it for me.

I'm learning a lot, and trying to work through the lack of parity between Java and bedrock, like the cauldron not working as a kill block. I figured the sculk block can be used on the side, so that I can use a half slab and campfire for the kill mechanism, but other than that I'm trying out most of this in my build. Thanks, ilmango

I couldn't power the second piston of the double extender by placing it over the slime block, due to lack of quasi connectivity, so placed the observer above the piston and cupped it with slime blocks. Then i ran into the gravity block causing a feedback loop with the piston which fired like a clock, so i joined the circuits with one observer and two repeaters set to 1 and 3 tick delays. When it came time to move the first line, the observer piston feedback loop came up again, so i used a line of sticky pistons to pull them back before pushing them up. Now i hope note blocks aren't broken for powering the piston wall... I'm using a wool enclosed calibrated sculk sensor below the kill chamber at 15 signal strength to trigger the stone generator. Thanks for giving me a good start!

If I understand correctly, instead of the double piston extender to create the gap between stone and skulk you could use the linear push limit extender type thingies seen in your "expandable block storage 1.16" video to move it on in a straight line. It might briefly create an alternate path for the skulk charge, I'm not sure. But at these speeds i think it'd be fine. Not very important, just a thought. It might look neater
@rubixtheslime
@rubixtheslime 2 жыл бұрын
Actually that would likely work just fine, as he specifically set it up where there wouldn't be any skulk charge while it's moving. Though there could be a problem with the block under the noteblock, as for a linear extender, that block would be moved forward and back, so it would detect a change 2 more times. Though also one good put the linear extender past the detection point, as the probability of actually getting all 12 blocks at once is incredibly low (1/496?). I hope that all made sense.
@ToppyTree
@ToppyTree 2 жыл бұрын
@@rubixtheslime good point but with the design ilmango was using in the video I referenced the timings are perfect so no block gets pushed back and forth, they all only move forward. Looking closer there might be other problems with skulk veins spreading though. Hard to know without testing obviously 😂

Is there a way to make a semi flying machine that makes the block as tall as needed? Like once it reaches a certain height, it gest pushed up like 100 blocks and then goes back down? Cause if you want a big backlog of it, you could make like 3 more sets of chicken farms and connect them all to the same block and just make it 4x as big and then basically 10x as tall. Idk, sounds good to me. Plus like if they're all at the top, you could make the top of it right next to your enchanter and such. Like say you want to deck out all of your villagers in traded for diamond armor with thorns cause you're sick of these mfin mobs killing your villagers. Not at all a personal issue. Gonna be making a new world that I plan to stick with for a few years once this update is officially released, so yeah lol.

Looks like debouncing on the observers. The observer will trigger when a block arrives, but also when it leaves/also the piston moving. The gravity block causes observer ticks to be ignored after the first one, until the gravity block lands again

I wish Mojang would have made it possible to take 8 sculk blocks and a empty bottle to make a bottle o' enchanted.

yes, i'm certain he's working on the video, just a matter of time. it's actually an insane advancement in large scale ancient debris hunting... previously the best way was his modified worldeater, which mines a finite area. whereas it seems like the wither bore can be run forwards indefinitely

There is one, a huge tunnel boring machine that uses withers to drill and AD is collected, shown on some youtube vid. It's an amazing build, the scale of is it awe inspiring, though the amount of AD one gets is rather small. There were comments about trying it at a lower level, and though the machine seals off lava, IDK if it could handle an ocean of it.

I noticed the baby chicken converted blocks to sculk when it died as well, does this mean it's possible to kill baby chickens immediately instead of waiting for them to grow up?
