@@jackiemgroup2171 I was awarded the Huayu Enrichment scholarship from Taiwan and did study there for 6 months before COVID. But I have never been to mainland china. Also, do you know if I would be able to work while studying ? I don't know if getting the 汉语教师奖学金 allows me to work (as an intern or teaching assistant in China). It would be great to get better at Chinese while also working in China.

Hello, no matter your major is in Chinese or not, you need HSK when you apply for the Chinese language course. Or you need some letter to prove that your Chinese is good enough to take the course. Maybe they will have an interview with you
