I think it would be easier to follow if you live somewhere warm. The UK can be so cold 🥶 sometimes. It's minus 3 today. I really need warm food at times like these. But I love the creativity and imagination of Kristinas recipes 😋 😍

There’s a reason vegans only live in warm places or move there. Sorry but this diet is impossible for cold regions.

still fail to see the point of a fully raw diet. studies don't support eating this way and absorption rates of micronutrients are far lower in raw plant foods compared to them cooked.

+Evan Sullivan what do you get out of posting this though?
@tigergreg8
@tigergreg8 8 жыл бұрын
+Evan Sullivan I know fully raw may not be for everyone, including me who live in a colder climate 1/2 the yr, but you have to admit, eating raw foods has to be nutritious. You can probably get better absorption by blending some things, but who wants to drink most of their meals. I know that's not something I could do. It's all about balance, and what works for you, Obviously, this lifestyle works for her, but, it may not be what good for you emotionally, or physically.
@theholyfetus3097
@theholyfetus3097 8 жыл бұрын
tigergreg8 I'm not criticizing the life style. It just doesn't make any sense. Yes of course you get nutrition from eating raw fruits and vegetables. Blending increase absorption rates tremendously but so does cooking. But eating this way 100% of the time is far to restrictive and frankly isn't optimal. Cooked foods offer a larger variety to choose from and improves taste for most things. If you want to eat fully raw by all means be my guest. Science just doesn't back it up and I'm going to school for nutrition as part of my double major.
@9BlooCheez2

but what do you yourself get out of posting this, whats the point? shes not going to listen to you. in fact she posted a video while she was at her doctors office after a physical after being vegan for 9 years. it works for her. so whay your saying is preeeetty irrelevant, especially on this channel.

+Evan Sullivan Like I said, it isn't for everyone, You will find numerous opinions on almost any topic you can think imaginable. And, with most opinions, neither side can be right of wrong, even if it's in a text book. Text books are always re-written, What they studied yrs ago, is not the same as your text book today. Who knows, those same classes you are taking today, in 10 yrs can change and show this lifestyle is optimal. I look at it this way, unless I have the letters GOD after my name, I don't know everything. You simply have to do what you feel is right in life. )

I’ve made vegan “Parmesan” by food processing cashews and/or walnuts, garlic salt, nutritional yeast, and a little lemon pepper. I think here, she means cauliflower “looks” like Parmesan? I’m not a practicing vegan, I just wanted to share because I tried this for a parm cheese substitute when I was experimenting. I’m sure this girl means well, and kudos to her for being 100% at what she commits to. The same thing won’t work for everyone ♥️

There are always going to be trolls sadly, this is nothing new. Kristina is doing an amazing job and is saving lives through the wonderful work she does. It is no secret that when you first transition to a raw diet you miss certain dishes. I began my transition on the 1st of January and I of course miss several dishes. Highly processed foods by design, are meant to be highly addicting so of course these raw alternatives are not going to taste like the real thing. heck, you may not even like some of them at first but I am certain that as time goes on your taste buds will begin to adjust to your new way of eating and you will truly begin to see just how delicious some of these dishes truly are while others you will like right from day one. Thank you Kristina for the wonderful work you are doing. Please keep it up you are helping countless people change their lives for ever!

I really hate the idea of making not vegan meals into vegan meals because it kind of gives people the idea that it's going to taste the same. The entire time I watched the ingredients being poured in...I was thinking....there's NO way this will taste like Mac and Cheese. This should not be called vegan mac and cheese if it doesn't taste like mac and cheese. Should definitely be called something else. I'm not saying it's disgusting, but it's definitely NOT going to taste like what is apparently supposed to be. I'm not knocking the vegan lifestyle at all. Trust me I want to try and become vegan, but it's hard because I DO like the taste of cheese, milk, eggs, and meat. So when I'm looking for things to help me transition. This doesn't help.

You can add nutritional yeast to make it taste more cheesy n there’s plant based cheeses but we don’t eat them. We tried them n they are ok. We don’t care for soy much...even organic. It’s mostly about how you feel after eating. You don’t feel sluggish or lethargic but like you could just do anything and the clarity in the mind is wonderful. In just 3 days you feel so different n after 10 days it’s amazing.

For those who are curious but doubtful, TRUST. thank u krisina, u are wonderful!!! u can make parmesan with almond nuts grained and nutrition yeast powder! test fantastic. also the zucchini u can put in a warm water for few minutes, is easier to digest also get nice soft. u can make the sauce also red, with fresh tomatoes, but put the seeds and water away... enjoy

OMG. Kristina, I think this is the BEST recipe you have created, and that is a big compliment because everything you make is so tasty. The sauce.....all I'm doing is imagining all of the other things I can pour it over! Thank you :) I made a few teeny changes - i didn't add the zucchini to the sauce because I wanted more noodles and I did 1/2 tsp of paprika AND 1/2 tsp of chilli pepper. It was so creamy and savoury and yes, cheesy!

Thank-you as a 60% super healthy raw food vegan aiming for 80% this recipe is very helpful. I would keep the tomatoes out as they are fruit and do not mix well with nuts as nuts digest much differently than fruits do, they take longer. Food combining principles are essential for good digestion and absorption of nutrients. The squash as a base is a great idea I am going to add some 5 star nutritional yeast too!

a friend of mine made a close version of this, but she did cauliflower rice and she called it cheesy risotto. She used nutritional yeast that gave it a good cheesy taste.

What did she just do at 2:54.... the wink and mouth opening thing just looked so weird and forced.... (Not hating on Kristina I like her, watch her video all the time and she does give good recipes except for that one raw donut that was bad )

I have just tried it! I really loved this raw version of mac and cheese. Seriously, it's creamy just like the original recipe. I first blended everything she said, tried it and felt like adding nutritional yeast. I turned out incredibly cheesy :)

It's an adaption. It does have cheese flavor because ingredients were blended together. :) Mac n cheese doesn't necessarily need pasta.

thank you, i salivate watching this. 3 years ago i began going raw thanks to you. then i tryied to eat raw zucchini. i didn,t like it. 3 years later i learned to eat many new veggies raw. it is still difficult to me to eat raw zucchini but now when i am pretty close to fully raw i don,t become mad at me that don,t like raw zucchini or cauliflower. Now i am confident that one day i will learn to eat them-not todat but some day. I love the recipe. Amalia from Bulgaria
