This is extremely ridiculous. Speedy trial... That is a constitutional right. The DOJ needs to step in. Guilty, innocent, that is decided by the court. Additional judges, courtrooms, da assistants/prosecutors, public defenders. Use of video trials and current technology to alleviate an expedite prcocessing of cases. The jail doesn't need to be bigger the system needs to be improved to process those charged. This is completely unacceptable.

Right. 10 years until trial….whether youre innocent or guilty. Thats crazy and unacceptable.

They need to release all individuals locked up for misdemeanors and non -violent felonies. Plain and simple. People in jail on drug charges need to be released. This is ridiculous and should not be allowed.

Where else in the country are having these issues? Because every court was affected by Covid and are not experiencing these issues!! It’s the people in power and the citizens of Georgia need to elect competent leaders!! This is a disgrace and unacceptable!!!
