Күн бұрынAs Funderpark returns to Stoke On Trent, we head to the event to check out this years ride offering. Funderpark is a collection of travelling fair rides that come together each year and create a pay one price wristband making it fantastic value. An adult wristband for this years event costs £9.99 which includes unlimited rides on all of the major attractions for 4 hours. In this vlog we experience all of the major rides including both on and off ride footage from the various attractions.

I go to funderpark when it goes to South Ruislip and I can officially say when it goes to South Ruislip it’s a LOT bigger (they even have a few rollercoasters and a very cheasy ghost train)

This is the sort of park I like. Fun rides, cheap entry, no long annoying queues and no rules preventing you from bringing along your GoPro for some on-ride fun. I really wish there were more of these around, especially where I live in London where everything is ridiculously overpriced. Unfortunately, I feel that fairgrounds and travelling theme parks are a dying breed of amusement parks, as people don't think that they have good rides anymore. The last time I went to one of these fairgrounds, there were so few people I couldn't understand how an earth the company was still running. A shame really.

Oh lordy, the Super Bowl is still going? That was the fair ride of my childhood! Well that, the Cyclone (Sizzler), and a now non-existent ride called Extreme (Think a Sizzler with 2 seater KMG style vehicles that tilts into a horizontal position).

My brother is good freinds with john bugg who runs the fair which comes to Kettering and I got the opportunity to go in the pay box for their kmg booster altitude and run the ride for a while. I also got to mind the dodgems on another night. I believe Tom from theme park plannet did a vlog from there when I was!!!!!

Huss designed and built the superior (in my opinion) Flipper rides, that featured the unusual angled car design. From what I remember, Superbowls started to appear after that, so were likely inspired by the Flipper (although sort-of similar rides had existed previously to that). In theory, the most interesting form of this ride type was the Stevens’ High Roller, which was originally fitted with looping cars. That didn’t work out, so replacement ‘floorless’ cars were fitted instead (so, still a one-off).

George johnson Yes, that one is a Huss. Although the videos I’ve seen of it show it’s run very slowly, for some reason, so probably not a good example to compare with a Superbowl.
