I was going to pick up my son from school, and I was scanning the side roads and back roads off 1st and 4th streets in hopes I could find this little boy. I would have adopted this boy after hearing his mother had passed and immediately was heartbroken after hearing his death and his mother's. My son is under 5, and I can't imagine the pain in this world for a father to be so lost to kill the mother and his own son. We need more family in the community. We have to be willing to speak up and speak out when others seem lost or confused or just not doing something right. If you hear or see something, say or do something because silence and inaction will lead to more evil prevailing. I'm happy to hear that the Pinellas County Sherrifs office worked so hard to get a clear conclusion to this atrocity. God bless these men and women who searched far and wide to help bring the father in to hopefully some form of justice someday. We need more respect love and understanding.

When I heard about this tragedy I thought what kind of depraved mine one has to have to stab the mother of your child to death on YOUR birthday at a party she threw for you. Then I discovered the baby’s missing and my heart sank further. Mental illness is real, he has to be crazy to do the things he did. It’s frightening to think these demons could be in your home. Only the blood of the lamb can save us. Pray vigilantly.

Family is not like it used to be! It was the distance family members that got up and spoke during reflection.
