Love you guys love your in your face about Asian issues. Two years ago I made the comment that how come you don’t see Asians in commercials. Well now you see Asians in lots of commercials movies and that is long overdue. Commercials now are very integrated with many races a true picture of the American demographic

Simu Liu being Chinese Canadian doesn’t this make him by definition an Asian American?! China is in Asia and Canada is in the Americas. Chinese Canadian is just a subcategory of Asian Americans, just like Japanese Brazilians, Korean Argentinians, Chinese Jamaicans are all subcategories of Asian Americans.. just saying

@16:44. I agree from my experience. Having been born in Detroit and raised in Wisconsin...but having lived DC, LA etc...not being a part of a large Asian community & really having to find yourself and, ultimately, assimilate makes middle-American born Asians MUCH different in so many ways (particularly during the 80's, 90's and early 2000's). There's a huge diff between us and densely Asian populated areas where Asians grew-up (Irvine, Arcadia etc). Having friend from all these places and seeing how they are...they're def not 'American' in the sense of knowing the nuances of how non-Asians think, act etc. It's just completely different.

I mean, I'm mixed (white + Polynesian) and Asian products are just more gentle and effective than traditional western products. Is it the best use? Hell no, skincare is a luxury. But is it showing love and appreciation for Asian beauty methods? I'd like to say yes.

There were some Asians but they were just there. They weren't the central core sought out faces in the crowd. Asians esp east Asian people will always be in the background and marginalized until they are front and center personalities and celebs. In other words if they are covered in like people magazine. Otherwise they will continue to be viewed and treated as outsiders

that's not true. East Asians are at the forefront of what's considered "asian" so "asian esp east asian" makes zero sense. Other asian people, like south east asians, south asians, arab asians THEY are the ones who are marginalized and in the background. East asians take up all the space wherever "asian" is mentioned. In the west AND in Asia. Y'all dominate everywhere. Only Chinese people have the right to say what you've said considering all the propaganda against them. Japanese and Korean? absolutely not lmao.
