As far as repetitiveness goes, every person has what is called a signature move, its what distinguishes them from the next dancer. Gucchon has some too, and so do many other dancers. Also there is nothing wrong with taking what you saw someone else do and tweaking it or making it your own, that's how dancing evolves. Anyway, its all about having fun and enjoying the music and letting the music speak to you. They both love dancing and that's what they came to do. Mad props to both.

What katoeezz says is exactly right. Timing, musicality. And when you have that in abundance you can do improvisations endlessly. He is of the same caliber as les twins. This guy is truly a legend and deserves allways respect. He brought interpretation to a different level. And he has what great clowns like Popov have as an extra.

I think that if we mix many different elements together and make dancing not only 'dancing' but also an 'entertaining show', it will be a perfect and wonderful dancing. This is what Salah taught me and also this is what Salah always does.

Salah couldn't touch gucchon now, gucchon has gotten crazy!

The humor that Salah brings is what I like. Not to take it too serious, dancing is about having fun, and Salah looks likes he's having fun. Just because he does the same moves doesn't mean he can't do just about anything. Lots of dancers perform the same moves especially when you have as many vids on youtube Salah has you will probably see the same thing more than once.

What an awesome battle!! both styles were awesome!! i didn't know who Gucchon was until this battle and hes good as a popper and im pretty sure he has gotten better since then, but here i think salah won

don't say that salah is not a professional popper.. he's one of the rare beings who have actually brought something new to the game. he's an innovative dancer who has stretched the walls of traditional popping and introduced a more entertaining way of delivering through his unique character. he's truly a pioneer and a damn good popper. yall need to respecanize.

salah wins because he shows something different in battles and is still able to hit and show musicality at the same time. you guys might say he does the same shit over and over but no one else can do what he does.

Salah is so complete. He stays out of the field when his opponent is performing. I value that.

both are such fantastic dancers, but i'd prefer salah the winner as he is a superb dancer and a superb entertainer at the same time, at the end entertainment is what counts for the winner if both are as good as these two are, anyhow its my thinking but salah is fun to watch...

Personally, I think there's no winner. Salah and Gucchon are awesome dancers and they are the best when the stuff is about locking and poppin'! One day I'd like to go to Japan, the world's best poppin' n lockin' dancers are there!

Its great to see a battle of such a high level!! Gucchon and Salah go wayyy back and they know each other pretty well. Even though both are elite poppers, I feel that Salah did better than Gucchon mainly because he was on point more. Don't know about you guys but Gucchon is a hell of a popper too.

salah is very charismatic & is very fan friendly. sometimes even incorporating fans into the show. its hard not to like him going in. which i think helps him in the end, not that he needs it. now that he is so big, its harder for the other guy to live up to the hype.

salah always has this unexpected moves and never does his moves over and over again like any other poppers there.

i wish Salah and the boy on the Kollaboration will have a batlle one time... :)

Salah is a phenomenal dancer. Gucchon is an amazing popper. You see the difference? Gucchon would kill anyone is a straight poppin contest, but when ur able to throw different aspects of all types of dance into a performance, thats when Salah shines. You see what i mean? Regardless. Both are crazy talented.

In my humble opinion. I think Gucchon was there to dance. I see Salah as an entertainer. He always gets the crownd going. Eye poppin moves and shit. But Gucchon. SHIT. Killed it.

ok all u haters sayin gucchon is "like a baloon filled with water" and "has no flow" 1 i would like to see you get anywhere near that level of dancing and 2 saying he moves randomly like a water balloon is like saying graphite is more valuable than dimonds and 3 both salah and gucchon are 2 of the worlds best dancers, salah has the extreme creativity and uniqueness on his side, gucchon has technique and flow into his style and both are extremely formitible and hard to judge i tink salah wins tho

They both popped well. I think collectively, Gucchon online started popping in his second round. During the first round his body wasn't popping enough and you couldn't notice it; it was too fluid-like. His second round was great though. With Salah, he was popping noticeably in both rounds, which is what really made the difference in this battle. Sure he entertains, but that's all part of the battle. You have to win the crowd over the opponent with popping. Which he obviously did well.

Gucchon changed his style to express, not to impress. Isnt it most important thing? B4 he was all EB,same feel and rolls. After that he changed his style to be truly himself.. U know, like Elsewhere, Skywalker,Tetris,Acky..

The person who says, "Salah is only a entertainer" thinks conservatively. Salah has the base of steady boogaloo. I understand why you pay attention to the interest of the dance of salah. However, salah actually wins gucchon at respect of the base. You do not notice it. Salah has the originality further on that.

Gucchon lost because he had very little hits, smooooth though....very smooth...Salah is just soo goo dall around he can have fun and still kill.

i definitely love gucchon and hold him to a higher esteem, but i also deeply respect salah. hes come a far way, even though he does do more tricks than the usual popper, salah has considerable skill, more than people give him credit for.

Saying people are "rubbish" at this level is a completely illogical statement to make. If they are at this competition then they have serious skill. They also have fun in what they do and everyone should do the same. Isn't that where this all started? Each excel in their own art and it is ART, not sport which is why judging at competitions is flawed anyway.

Gucchon has sick in the first round and the beginning of second round but after that it was weakkkk. Hes gotta end big, that woulda turned the judges for sure. Like Salah always ends BIG! thats what was the difference in my opinion.

Like @azntaiwan said, Salah wins in any battle. Kinda like learning to walk before learning to run, you gotta learn to dance before you can pop. Otherwise it risks looking too mechanical, or you forget to win over the audience

@El3ctricBo0g maybe i'll eat my words for saying this to a guy who calls himself Electricboog, but take a look at 5:52. That's a boogaloo roll, albeit extremely isolated. I'm pretty sure he does it quite a few other times during the match. What i'm saying is that you saying "salah showed none of that," isn't true. Salah took boogaloo to the next level and made it his own, but still applies the same techniques. He just uses more iso I'm both a gucchon and salah fan. What you said isnt true.

i am a huge salah fan because he is fun to watch, but he;s definitely not the best popper, i think gucchon was definitely the winner. Salah does alot of boogaloo, sometimes breakdance moves animation and a lot of other stuff. But there are way more better poppers than him. But i have to say he's one of the best entertainers:)

salah has more originality. Gucchon's routine looks like every other plain popping routine. Who says what popping is? Guys like salah blur the line. I think it makes it better overall. Maybe the definition of popping needs an adjustment lol
