It's Christian Ponder facing some unknown Samford dude or whatever at QB in this match-up from Adrian's illustrious 2012 season. St. Louis apparently had a pro-football team at one point, but this isn't it.

I remember this game fondly. This game had me convinced Blair Walsh was gonna be one of the greatest field goal kickers of all time. Boy, was I in for a surprise.

Greyson Khunger the part that bugs me is some people think Blair Walsh just fell apart after missing that playoff field goal, but no, he had some struggles before that.

Wow, the speed Griffen showed on that pick 6! And AD was so amazing in his prime! Such a violent/powerful runner. Btw, who was that guy wearing Blair Walsh's jersey?! Lol. Smh.

2012 was when AP was in his prime. He was on another level that year and literally carried the Vikings on his back to the post seasons those few years. It was fun to watch AP during this time period

2012 Vikes: Peterson in his prime, Ponder showed flashes of adequacy, Blair Walsh was lookin like the best kicker ever (until his brain broke) Defensive building blocks just starting to fall into place.

Imagine if Ponder had blossomed. I know he was a bad quarterback but it wasn’t because he wasn’t smart enough or didn’t have the arm or the athletic ability. The only thing missing in that guy was unfortunately everything a QB needs to be good, but if he had had it. That would have been the start of a dynasty.

Lol savage caption! AP was a beast that year. I remember feeling good because the Rams kept him in check for the 1st quarter. Then, he ripped off that 82 yard TD run... Walsh was money in the bank early in his career. Also, Steven Jackson deserves an award for sticking with the Rams for nearly his entire career. Nice video!

My son and I was at this game. He was only 10 at the time and I told him how special it was to see a RB rush for over 200 yards in person as well as seeing Jackson eclipse 10 thousand career yards. In the same game no less. As Vikings fans we were smiling ear to ear “All Day”.

Ponder surprised with pretty good play this game, but think about the fact that A.P. got over 2,000 yards this season with overall a subpar passing game & 8 men in the box all year trying solely to stop him and noone else...makes this the best season by a running back I've ever seen....maybe OJ getting 2k in 14 games beats it

Ponder couldn't run shit, he could barely complete passes over 20 yards and most of the time they were picked, only reason that clown was relevant and was a starter is because of that bad man at running back that took the entire team put them on his back and str8 ran them into the post season
