What does it imply that I think that way? It is a reality that some people are lousy parents and bad animal owners. However, the reality that many of these people believe they are God and assume omniscient responsibilities remains a fact. Stop snooping around in God's creation. Monkeys and other wild animals are, well, wild creatures. You don't bring farm animals to bed or into the house. Or, if you have them, you accept dangers and uncomfortable situations. If God has determined that these creatures should dwell in a specific ecosystem, then be good and respect that decision; don't follow your "love" mindlessly. Some individuals adore snakes, tigers, and bears as pets because that's how they feel, but it doesn't imply the animals are content with you humans in your habitat. Wild creatures should be left undisturbed. People's intervention in their life is precisely what causes their aggression. Do you want the monkeys to take you into their environment and play with you, believing they can train you? Not? So, demonstrate your rationality by acting rationally, but avoid entering the wild realm where everything functions more than flawlessly. In the human world, only chaos and stupidity dominate, because people do not have time to learn the laws of the universe and have no idea where they come from. Still, they do their whims including having exotic companion animals. All the best and literally I am not interested in the views of selfish people. Because most people who get such pets think that these little animals feel good with them, when in fact they need their habitat to be happy and healthy.

Nothing to blame on these creatures. This is why I say that they are wild animals, and having grand expectations from them is silly. We are those with the proper level of consciousness. Hate to break it to ya, Franz, but those monkeys were poached and abused as well. The whole thing that makes the "monkey pet" myth thing so real is that monkeys just happen to be naturally one of the more complex and sensitive animals while also being among the most clingy and co-dependent animals on Earth and therefore taking one produces a natural, unique dynamic that KINDA looks like proper pet ownership from afar, but it turns out it was just (occasionally well-hidden) animal abuse. The average poached primate can teach you more about Stockholm Syndrome than the most Stockholm'd human in history.

That's right, monkeys have made awful pets for a long time! Like any other monkeys, capuchins need to be around other capuchins in order to develop properly. Making them into pets always damages them, and then you have to live with what you've done for decades!

Congratulations if you provide them with everything you mentioned. If you provide your monkeys with appropriate conditions, treating all animals (monkeys, meerkats, whatever-it doesn't matter-just speaks about your personality and if you are a nice person) is amazing. Unfortunately, every monkey I have ever seen was mistreated for profit. If you are aware of the plight of the unfortunate creatures who are made to pose for photographs with tourists and kept in cramped, dim places, I find this to be humanless.

Absolutely right! Now where do I get my own monkeys? Please help it’s all I want in the world. Plus my heart can’t take another pet dog. They don’t have the life span of a monkey.

At least I have papers for mine tho, it’s easier to have them checked (and legal) semi annually for health and wellness. How do you get yours checked if they aren’t here legally? I’m curious. I mean I know that no normal healthy thinking adult person would just go and assume that someone who’s breaking the law would go and post something like this on a social media platform, knowing damn well it’s monitored. People have kept OTHER HUMANS as pets for thousands of years, too. It doesn't make it right. In fact, that does more to prove how wrong it's been. Monkeys are not pets. They are not domesticated and do not function correctly in human households. Period. The history of how long we've had them means nothing except that for thousands of years we've been poached and abusing monkeys.

There are no domesticated primates except for humans. Even breeders of pet monkeys for years will tell you they are wild animals and can't be domesticated. Same goes with any of the wild cats and many other animals sold as pets.

The presence of monkeys in your home as pets does not guarantee that they are equally content. Since monkeys are wild animals, they have different needs and instincts than other domesticated animals. Additionally, my opposition to keeping monkeys as pets only apply to people who do so for amusement rather than realizing that the animals have souls as well. I don't even want to talk about individuals who make fun of others and contribute to the situation. It is wonderful if you have monkeys and provide them with all they need for a healthy existence, but keep in mind that only 1% of people think of and take care of them as you do. To prevent individuals without a brain or soul from daring to keep a monkey as a pet is precisely the reason behind the label. I hope I made myself clear.

I think s lot of people have some version of feeling that they are a bit demonic, kind of like the kind of eyes goats have. You are the first person I've heard say that, and I don't know why but I kind of feel that way too. Best left in the jungle where they have a place and family. Not smelling up the homes of human beings.
