I finally watch the popularly requested Epithet Erased! I absolutely adored this, the art style is so cute and Molly is such a sweet character that's really easy to root for. Lady Mera might have my favorite design, but I dont trust her as far as I can throw her! The abilities that the characters have are really cool, especially Molly's "Dumb!" I will definitely be yelling BARRIER every time it comes up now, too

Epithet Erased is a original Story from Jello, but its core systems or the DnD similarities comes from his custom DnD-like game "Anime Campaign" :D

The Museum arc is- everything else is a loose adaptation of sessions, session zero was considered uninteresting as I think it was just a tournament to use as playtesting

Everyone has those two reactions to Molly's dad. The live chat from the youtube shows tens of people cheering at how funny the dad is at first and then they all turn against him and spam the chat with angry messages when it turns out that the dad is trash.

People with well known words like "fire" or "spoon" get their power young but some person go their whole lives not knowing their epithet because their word is soo obscure

Jello actually told how they figure their epithets! They feel a "connection" or "something special" about a word. Some people with very weird words take years to figure out, since you don't hear or see them quite often

Also, once a word becomes an epithet, it stays an epithet forever. So lots of believed Mundies are likely to actually be Inscribed, just with old-ass words

I put off epithet erased for the longest because of the style. By the fourth episode I'd already bought the audiobook, I've never been so sold on a show so quickly. Hoping Prison of Plastic gets adapted soon! Amazing reaction

I really hope you keep watching this. It's fantastic. It was actually based on a D&D campaign, which explains the top down views & damage numbers. Also, arsony is VERY overrated, & you'll see why in later episodes. Also also, Giovanni is best boy, & you will understand this immediately in the next episode.

Fun Fact: The Intro song is about the production hell of producing Epithet Erased (They originally had a different song but they lost it and they didn't have much time, so they wrote what they know) "How do you find out yoru epithet" Yes it kind of calls to them but you need to find the word in order to (consisusly) gain the power's effect. Some people who want to find out their power will look through dictionary. Indus' barrier are persumably made out of epithet aura, not some defined material 9:42 Fun Fact: On Tumblr the creator said that Otamtone is evil and a minbion of a villain of a future book. 11:57 "Wait is this show autism coded" It kinda is but the creator said this wasn't intended so it is accidental 13:50 I mean it was on streamed on and produced by VRY (although they only provided like half the funding) and the ad breaks are used on it on both KZfaq and VRV

@@NevaehEvol yet again the indie creators that grew up when we did are trying to take back the golden age of actually good shows and games, and this one is an absolute win. Its sad that it has yet to do well enough for a full animation budget for further seasons, but, i really do feel like, with the quality of story they have, that we shall see even more from them, or, at least see others who are inspired by this work and make something of their own.

Huh, well, this was a pretty well done Episode 1, this Show has such a unique Style that I have to expect and the World are pretty fascinating too, kind of reminds me of My Hero Academia, though I don’t think 80% of the Human population has Powers. Anyway, I noticed that the Audio of the Episode was a little out of sync, was that just me? Regardless, I hope that won’t be the case for every Episode. By the way, now that I think about it, is this Series still ongoing or is it finished?
