They're not hurting the dog. It would be confusing for the dog, even a bit creepy, hence the dog being scared, but the dog isn't hurt or malnourished. Please calm down, I know it's a bit stupid that they're deliberately scaring the poor thing but I doubt it will be traumatised by this experience.

My Doberman of 4 years has natural floppy ears and natural tail. Neither have ever caused any problems, so for all those comments below saying that it beneficial to crop their ears and tail i call bullshit. It is actually illegal in Australia to dock their tails and the method it is done is considered animal cruelty, cutting the blood off by tying a string around its tail to drop off or straight out cutting it. Let your dogs be au naturel.

Gee, some people on here. It's not abusive, and the dog isn't stressed. If you look, he wags is tail, and does the playful bow, and his ears are perked, he's curious and wanting to play. If the dog was stressing, he wouldn't be showing playful signs. If you think that's abuse, then I'm not going to tell you guys what I do to my cats, you will probably call animal control and the cops on me, and my babies get the best care in the world. Gah I fucking hate the sound of dogs barking. Our neigbours are lazy pricks and they put their dog on a leash out in the garden alone ALL FUCKING DAY LONG, EVERY DAY. It's lonely and starts barking to get some attention, and then the owners poke out to the door and yells back at it for barking. It drives me fucking mad.
