Lance Reddick was a great guy. I had four interactions with him. The first was at a convention where I told a personal story that he really seemed moved by. Almost two years later, I sat next to him on a plane. He spoke to me for nearly the entire two hour ride, and even remembered (or at least claimed to in order to not hurt my feelings) the story I told him at the convention. Around two years ago, a family member got him to do a Cameo video for me. I know for sure he remembered me that time, because he referenced something we spoke about on the plane ride, that my family member had no idea about, so they couldn't have told him about it. The final time was at another convention. This time, he remembered me enough to call out my name while I was waiting in line and then spoke to me for quite a long time, enough that people behind me were getting upset. He was truly a warm, gracious, caring man about his fans. I've met quite a few celebrities in my life, and even consider myself personal friends with a few b-list comedians, actors and athletes. The times I met Lance were a highlight. RIP sir, you made my life better just by some of the advice you gave to me. Thank you for sharing your personal time with me and making me a life long fan.
