Most people who've touched grass in their lives actually don't know what a "furry" is and thus have no negative stereotypes of the fandom. Also, I'd say that thanks to Furscience, TikTok, KZfaq, and some positive mainstream media representation, I've run into more people over the past few years who've both heard of furries *and* have a neutral-to-positive view of the community.

Furries make me smile, They are such generous, supportive, selfless people. How can people hate them? I used to wish a higher power would just end me already, but I came across furries and I’m living a better life these days. I thank the furry fandom for that. You don’t need to support us, Just respect us!

Pretty much spent 26 years of my life trying to figure out who I am or what I want to be. Then my close friend (who I knew was a furry) invited me to FurFloat (Cruise where handful of finnish furries gather once a year). Had the time of my life, and finally found the place where I fit in. That was 6 months ago, and in the upcoming weeks getting my own suit! Can't wait for it :3

I love how supportive everyone was! Even though I don’t have a fursuit (for now) it is nice seeing people giving you high fives, the kids hugging you, and all the people taking pictures with you! I enjoy seeing people acting kindly towards others.
