Get outstanding CHIRP Side-Scan capabilities on your boat with Furuno's NavNet TZtouch3 and the new version 3.01 software update. Perfect for shallow waters, the CHIRP Side-Scan has been tested in waters as shallow as 2 feet, while being able to see over 750 feet port and starboard. This feature is now built-in to TZT3 with version 3.01 software, all you need is a CHIRP Side-Scan transducer. Connect it directly to the TZT12F, TZT16F, or TZT19F. You can also display and operate it on a TZT9F or TZT2BB when they are connected to a network with one of the other TZT3 MFDs.

Do i need a specific transducer to get side-scan? ive got an 82B 35R, another 1KW transducer both going into a DI-FFAMP, plugged into 2 12" TZT3's. i bought the boat with it all on already and still dont know what its all capable of.

what a pity there is not 2 ports for transducers, 1 for the traditional transducer and 1 for the side scan. with an option to select between the 2. I only have space for 1 machine so id have to un plug and change transducers manually at sea. Not ideal.

Hello @donsolomon8501, thanks for watching! The side-scan feature not originally planned in the development of TZtouch3 and was a free software added feature that came a year after the TZT3 came out, which is why it only has one transducer connector. Not ideal as you stated, but definitely a fantastic free upgrade to an existing system.

레져용 소나인가용? 그리고 3D 이미징 스캔소나인가요? 360도 3D 스캔도 가능한가요? 탐지성능(범위,거리, 수심 깊이) 스펙도 알려주세요.

Hello and thanks for watching. This is meant for shallower water and it is CHIRP Side-Scan only. For 3D imaging, you should take a look at the DFF3D and for 360-degree scanning, you should take a look at a searchlight sonar, such as the CH500 or CH600. Also, you might look at the CSH8LMK2 Omni Sonar. I hope this helps.

And, sorry for the hassle, can you tell me more about the ARPA radar family? (Product models corresponding to Furuno Alpha Radar) All I know is the FRR-2117 (far-2xxx). This series model is clearly specified as an arpa radar on the Furuno website, but other radar models are not introduced. Also, the FAR-2228B (old model far-2117) is a radar for merchant ships. Can you point me to a more affordable ARPA radar model? (arpa radar to be used for fishing vessels)

Will the side scan transducer work with a TZT2?

Thanks for watching! Unfortunately these CHIRP Side-Scan transducers will not work with TZT2. However, if you have a DFF3D Multibeam Sonar connected to your TZT2, you will have that Side-Scan capability.
