The duo get deep into their history in metal and their influences, with Lynch stating that he took in a lot of influences when he was younger through "osmosis"-simply by listening to his favorite bands and playing along to their records.

Well said. It just shows that style & tone outweigh shredding ability & versatility anyday. Not that George can't shred but it's more about his touch & note choices. His style & tone is just very seductive and he doesn't have to do any fancy techniques to stand out. Rock On!

George Lynch is one of the Best! Been watching George from the beginning, Lost boys days on the sunset strip in Hollywood Ca in the late 70's, Met Rhoads when he was in Quiet Riot, Van Halen, Motley Crue, Ratt and the rest! one day they all got signed and the rest is rock N roll history! What a killer time to be alive and grow up in Southern California!

Love how LYNCH has been able to stay relevant through all these years. Always seems to be working on several different projects, expanding his fan base and keeping sharp. Getting old sucks. Things that were easy 20 years ago demand more attention, but he seems to take it all in stride. Chris is an AMAZING musician, almost seemed a bit star struck at first. Very modest and humble guy with supernatural talent. Cool vid. Thanks

Lynch really is very bluesy . he pulled off some great licks with all the stretching and slides .cool diminished stuff . and he had that bluesy soul that made it unique. I love gl style. Chris is amazing I actually enjoy the work he did with megadeth endgame is one of their best records imo. and I've picked up some cool licks from Chris he's one of my favorite modern shredders.

The chord progression art the end was uncanny -ingenious. I think he wanted to see if Chris could maintain his virtuoso, polished, formally schooled sound with a series of chords with a little harder to predict placement and timing. George said he knew Chris would hear it because he's that good. Good jam session.

If all goes well, then do an album in between the schedules they both have... this is an awesome meeting of the shredding minds... Loved the stuff exchanged between them... I live for this type of gathering with sharing musical idea's and where it birthed... lol... The guys are a gift to musicians following the same path... Musically with innovation... 5 Hour Spinnery To be honest with you, it’s a different era. It’s not a competition. George was at the forefront of technical shred in the 80’s. That speaks for itself. Guys like Broderick learnt from those guys. It’s not a competition. Modern guitarists have always been technically better than older ones but that’s not the thing that matters. It’s the music which matters. Lynch has had the bigger impact on music and has wrote more meaningful music.

Same. Lynch & Schenker are the reasons I picked up the guitar in the first place. I even had an Aria Pro 2 like the the one on the back cover of the Dokken album that George was holding but mine was blue. Killer axe and wish I hadn't sold it. So glad I got to see him shred at the Monsters of Rock in '89 in Miami at the stadium with Metallica, Scorpions & VH. Lynch nearly got electrocuted doing Mr. Scary due to a heavy downpour during his number. Poor guy was freaking out but managed to finish the song like a consummate professional.

"I wonder what firmware you were on" - haha dude, no it's just not the same for that style of music. The Axe sounds awesome for certain styles but it does not sound the same as a tube amp. (arguably better for those styles, not so much for other ones)
