Oh and...Go see Gus G. Holy shit that guy is great live. Best live guitar tone and accuracy I've ever heard. I took some guitar snob friends with me and everybody's jaw was on the floor. No offense to Broderick (who is great), but the one area Gus G is a monster is in string muting, which is a huge thing. He's playing on Blackouts here and they are hot pickups.

It looks like these guys shop for clothes at the same place, in addition to both playing the same style of music and wearing their hair the same way. They're clearly soul mates. Sort of like the heavy metal Siegfried & Roy, with guitars and tight black t-shirts in place of lions and glittery sport coats.

My kids (Not teens yet) love Gus G., Satriani, & Bettencourt! I think it’s the hair & the tone lol! For me it’s the style of playing, tone, & approach to rock guitar. I have to listen to some more Chris Broderick. I’ve only heard the ‘System has failed’ album with MEGADETH. I thought maybe Chris wasn’t allowed to be as creative with Dave, but I’m curious as to what he can do with his skills.
