Hi Tabitha, absolutely gorgeous bowl. I've only just started using murrini and did a tack fuse yesterday (1325F) but think I need to take it a smidge hotter as there wasn't any softening to them at all - they looked like they hadn't been fired yet! I notice you used glue to hold the small pieces in place (which I hadn't done). I believed this might make little pieces 'jump' during firing as the glue warms up/burns off. It would have made the job much easier if used. Can you advise what to use that doesn't cause jumping issues to be experienced. Many thanks for your time.

There is always a chance items will move in the kiln when fired. I have heard people say that when the glue burns off it boils and can move items, but I do not see this happening so much, however my studio is warm and the glue dries relatively quickly. I use Bullseye Glasstac Gel or just the normal white kids glue like Elmas Glue. All kilns fire at different temperatures so you need to know your own kiln and take it to the temperature you like the results at, so if 1325F is too hot then try 1330F next time, you can always fire a piece again hotter but you can not go back once it has lost its shape. I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for your comprehensive reply, very much appreciated. I think I'll put them in again at 5 degs hotter and double the annealing time as a second firing. Fingers crossed. I'll get some Glasstec too for future pieces. Love watching your videos and your work is amazing.
