They are such similar guitars, the comparison needed to happen. Now I just need to get the Charvel and compare the 3, you know, it's scientific that way and not just an excuse for me to buy the Charvel 🤣🤣

I like Thomann guitars, I bought 7 of them last year. I was lucky, they were all absolutely OK. I will definitely buy another HB guitar, I also bought about 14 of their guitar mini effects in one PB, 100% satisfaction with the guitars, +- 80% with the effects. I like both guitars very much. Wow, I need to up my numbers then. I only have 2 🤣🤣 the HB effects are largely joyo pedals with a different paint job I hear 👍

Yes, I have the original Joyo, but I meant the Harley Benton MiniStomp series, I hope I put that correctly from memory. Some are very successful, they are probably also produced in cooperation with another manufacturer. Perfectly OK for home gaming. Have a nice evening.👍👍👍

Hey 😅 i have 10 HB and a friend of mine has nine...they were all perfect out of the box..never an issue or other problems...beautiful and good sounding Guitars...have we been Lucky? Or the other people Who Always complain about issues on Harley Benton are too pedantic if not haters in principle?😅

@@guitardrummer1 if I'm being really picky, the action on these was set very 'safe' and not as low as I like. Other Harley Benton guitars I've tried need a bit of a clean up and string change, but nothing aside from that really. I imagine as they are pumped out in such high quantities that a few duds will slip through the net but I'm also pretty certain Thomann won't let that be a problem and will likely rectify any issues.

@@BudgetPedalChap Yes it's ok...It can happens...even big brands guitars come with some issues sometimes...😊...then i think it's ordinary to make some Little work with action and fretboard for your tastes...and yes sometimes frets are a Little scratchy, but most of times this disappear by Just playing...rarely you need to work on them...😉

Got both, the neck on the Fusion III has a way better feel for me, much thinner neck, feel great it is more like a C shape, I don't have the roasted maple neck I have the maple neck, they were running a special. I absolutely despise the neck on the ST 25 I just never cared for the D neck: I actually have a USA Strat 2016 so It is a hard sell for me to not be a little bias, my US Strat has a deep C, which is incredibly comfortable and I know I can't compare the two, Price and quality being a huge difference, being 1,500 dollars or more, but I must say for a first guitar or a backup guitar I could still use it, but I would rather just use my Strat. I think the ST -25 pickup are better than the pickups in the fusion, I have the 2 humbucker version, I fee the ST-25 it is way more creamy for blues. I use both around the house, and I have my Fusion III out on loan to a buddy. I spend most of time on a PRS Custom 24-08 and the US Strat. I wish I had a HB when I was young, I started out on a shredder RG 550 Ibanez but I felt like it was a one trick pony, and as we mature better guitars are available. My second guitar was a Epiphone Gibson and was a really good guitar for the time. I would have rather had the HB SC-550 II BCF than an Epiphone, they blow away my old guitars in the 90's HB really are great guitars for the money, it's a shame they didn't exist in the 80's and 90's.

@@masterquan4891 there is a lot of quality in the Harley Bentons, you're right about that. I would have loved something so highly spec'd when I was starting out 👍

I’ve got both and the fusion wins hands down, Firemist is lovely looking but fusion is the dogs, I mean for, less than 300 quid! Amazing on both.

The firemist wowed me when I got it, it spurred me in to buy the fusion. I'm glad I've got both but the fusion gets more play time from me. You're not getting a bad instrument either way, but I think you're right with the fusion 👍 have you tried one of the fusion T guitars, I'm very tempted

Im a 10-52 string guy myself. I think I'd take the Firemist on looks and the thinner neck you described. Had my fret hand messed up in Afghanistan and dont get on with fat necks. Great effin review though Chappie.

Respect to you bud. My fret hand is screwed but only from an operation, I use 9-42 elixir optiweb on my Firemist and it’s made all the difference like playing butter 👍🏻

I have tendon issues if a guitar has a certain amount of tension on the strings, so 10-52 would be too much for me. Kudos to you though my man, that extra chunk in the lower strings must sound great 👍 the firemist neck is a modern strat feel to it, not paper thin but just really comfortable - I'm sure you'd love it. Yes...the firemist looks Just a little better, but the fusion with that sort of grey/military green is so charming and sexy😅

It's definitely grown on me. I would have gone for the baby blue if I had a choice, but this one came up at the right price and I couldn't say no. Both are fab and such value for money too

@BudgetPedalChap Just did a video about HB here in the States. It's tempting. I've bought a couple in the past I wasn't thrilled with, but hope springs eternal. 😅

@@SapulpaGuitarAcademy yeah, I did just check that out actually. I knew there was a bit of a mark up for buyers in the states but I didn't realise how bad it was. The fusion cost me just over 200gbp delivered and the Firemist was similar too, so you can see why I was very tempted. I can only speak highly of the fusion range, it's really impressed me and, as you say in your vid, offers you so many features you just won't get at the same price. There might be another fusion making it's way onto the channel soon too, so keep checking back 😉👍

Mine is a pretty nice weight tbf, I did a gig with it and want sore after. That's the issue with cheaper guitars, they'll take any bit of wood they can get rather than being a bit more selective

I do not buy guitar unless I have them custom made (With iut playing them) If I buy a Fender Strat style guitar I want a 9.5 radius and a thin neck. That is why I refuse to buy these things, no matter what I hear on the internet. Even with some USA or Mexican Stratocaster, they can differ-I may love the way It looks, if I do not like the way anything plays, I -like most people, will not buy it, unless I have a 100% buyer on the line for more money.

QC can differ from guitar to guitar even with those bigger brands, you're not wrong. These two came out of the box playing well and after some small tweaks they play to my taste. You do have to bond with the instrument for sure, I find with most that a good set up gets me there at least.
