It does seem out of character for Jake to ask what time it is. He only did that once when he was late for an appointment. So it's not so much a reference as deliberately insulting without provocation. When Deadpool shot Ryan Reynolds we all knew why. Here, I don't see the point.

Don't get me wrong, there are more that I loved, but that was the first episode I ever saw and it's still one of my favorites to this day.
