GLP 2 meds have been used in horses for quite a few years now for equine metabiloc syndrome. It's lifesaving for them. It's weird how vets recognise it as a metabolic syndrome yet many doctors are reluctant to (especially in the UK). In a way I feel we're benefiting from veterinary science to an extent and that's fantastic. It's encouraging to also hear of cats possibly having their own version. I'm not well versed in kitty med but I know how much dogs can suffer with metabolic issues. I mean, we know neutering decreases how much food they need. Perhaps theirs more to it chemically than we currently understand. Implants for diabetic pets would be far easier than pills and injections. It's definitely a fascinating time in medicine right now. Tirzepatide especially seems to have many other possible uses. It's curbed the majority of the mental health impulses I used to need to try and fight 24/7. I’m curious if the implant will be an issue when you have to have surgery. You know they say at least 2 weeks off of GLP-1s so you don’t aspirate.

Like day 6 waking up starving. It was this way before Mounjaro. I have 1 more week of 5mg. Maybe I should just start my 7.5?
