Android version. Went through the steps exactly, including releasing all of the chocobos I already had. Worked like a charm. AMAZING!!! You are phenomenal sir.

I used this method then bred the gold female and wonder male with the zeo after feeding the great female 3 k greens to get a male gold. I then bred the male gold and female gold with any nut other than the zeo to get a female gold. Rinse and repeat - I now have a stable full of 6 gold Chocobos 👌🏼👌🏼

I was losing my mind for near an hour (maybe more) to get the River Chocobo, i'm playing on PC with 7th Heaven Mod Manager with about 10 mods installed, turns out, one of my mods were screwing with the colors of the chocobos, causing them all to be yellow regardless of the actual color (which is weird because the colors are accurate for chocobo racing itself, just not my bred chocobos, which are all yellow regardless if it's a blue/green etc.), after shutting off all my mods, i got the gold within minutes! been subbed to your channel for YEARS since your FF12 videos, thanks a ton again for this one!

Back when FF7 came out on the PS1 I gave up trying to get the Gold Chocobo. Fast forward many years later and I was able to finally do it using this guide for the Nintendo Switch. Follow the guide exactly as the video describes and you can’t go wrong. No time to sit back and enjoy the long Knights of the Round summon 😂. Thanks for the video 👍🏻

This worked wonderfully. It's super easy to follow especially if it's the first time doing stuff with chocobos. If you're doing it to 100% the game and dont wanna spend too much time on chocobos just to get one trophy I definitely recommend this.

Man. This actually worked for me. I followed everything step word fornword and even pausing to hear you correctly and it worked. I hot my Gold Chocobo on the first time.

Worked for me. PS4 version on PS5. For the Black Chocobo I had to use the Carob nut, Sahara gave me a green.

Worked perfectly on Playstation 1 NTSC doing exactly as you did. I was a first time FF7 player and didn't know that i need the Gysahl Greens to keep the Chocobos on the field, but it took a minute to fly to get them. Also i had the Config-ATB at Recommended and learned that i have to have it at 'Wait' because i had so many items that the Choco ran away far before i got to the Gysahls :) And that was my first encounter and it had the rabbits+Choco and it took me 10min to find the right combo again. I had an awesome time with this guide! Thank you! 🎉

This is the second time I've played through the game, but the first time doing the chocobo breeding. On the PS2 with the Greatest Hits copy of the game, this guide worked like a charm! It's a lot easier to do this with visuals rather than reading a text guide to do this, so thank you for making this guide!

Hi Fuzz. Great tutorial - very polished. You mentioned some people couldn't get a black with the Saraha nut... If they followed your guide to the letter the Saraha but will produce a black every time! A carob nut may or may not but probably won't produce a gold. If they got blue and green by any other means the carob nut will probably (not guaranteed) produce black but a Saraha nut will definitely not. Simple as that. Keep up the good work. Beautiful graphics BTW.

I used the Brady games guide back in 97 and didn’t have any issues, but it was very time consuming. A “friend” of mine borrowed my guide at one point specifically for the chocobo breeding section. I never saw that book again.

Following this guide everything wokred out perfectly. I fed my new Golden One 30 Sylkis Greens und got over 158 speed and 752 Stamina making it probably stupidly overpowered for racing as well. So... yay :) you just spared me so many hours of grinding, I dreaded this part of the game when i decided I needed another go since i had forgotten almost everything about the story and still had some trophies left Thanks a bunch, mate :)

This definitely works on the PS1. It worked 1st time for me, playing the NTSC-U version of the game on xStation-modded console. The BIN/CUE I’m playing came from my PS Classic, so that would also work. Worth updating the video description maybe? Thank you!

Just did this on the PS5 and it worked like a charm. The wonderful chocobo kept wanting to be female though but a few reloads fixed that. Every other step was smooth. Way better than the way i did this as a kid 😂😂😂

Worked perfect on Switch! Few tips, I forgot to steal some of the nuts, zeio and carob, prior to starting. I stole them during of the required random encounters and everything still worked out fine. I also Missed and only did 7 instead of 8 encounters, I did one more battle and then re-saved the file. It still worked out for me in the end.
