Just finished watching!!! I know nothing about Car building or engines but I love love watching!!!! I've always wanted to have my 1968 Firebird back that I traded when I got married in 1975!!! Would love to see you redo on your new show!!! Ready to watch your new show when it starts !!! Being 70 years old and Married to the same Beautiful Woman all these years if I ever hit the Lottery I would love to own one again to take my Bride, who I taught to lay rubber in that same Firebird, For one more ride before our Lord Jesus Christ calls us Home!!! Definitely should have these sprinkled in the series! There are many things that I do not do anymore. I am happy to be at a point after 30+ years in which I can pick and choose yet still have plenty of work lined up. We are a small shop, just two of us, and still have 10+ waiting in line at any given time. There's always the one project car there for at least a year though, I call it the base load car!

Great show! I know Dan and FantomWorks have expanded their focus over the past few years, but it's great to hear Dan & Audrey on the topic that drew us to the show in the first place, vintage cars. I grew up in a fairly small town that had a Pontic dealership two blocks away, a Chevy dealer two streets down from my elementary school, and a Dodge dealership 1/4 mile in the other direction. I was in my early teens, and seeing the Camaros, the GTOs, and the Chargers close up as they came out was a Godsend in my early teenage years. To hear that FantomWorks loves the same cars I did (do) was a blessing. I'm excited to hear you have a season of new shows in the can, but may I say this? Dan, there are millions of us waiting for the return of FantomWorks on TV, but PLEASE, Dan, don't get into a deal that will stress you out and make your job a living hell as what you explained happened to you trying to meet network expectations, etc. While I can't wait to see the new shows, I'd rather have no TV show and a healthy, happy Dan and Melissa, Audrey, and the rest team in the shop. I enjoy the KZfaq walkthroughs, Audey talking to the mechanics about the progress of a build, and the informative shows such as Dan explaining to us the pitfalls of the $50/hour, and how and why there just ain't no such thing. Prayers for all, and RIP, Heidi.

TYVM this was GREAT !!!! Great seeing Audrey. I understand your feeling about Heidi too. From the 1st time I watched the show on TV, I understood your mindset Dan. You're a military man & it's do it right the 1st time or don't do it at all. But yes PLEASE do many more videos like this !!!

Wow, what a great show. Some people should just stay away from the tool boxes. I was pleasantly surprised to know the season was already filmed. I thought it was going to be on YT. I get all the channels but not those subscription hulu or Netflix things. Motortrend should pick it up don't ya think? They make enough off your reruns anyway 😅. Thanks for the engine/transmission mounting advice. I was stressing that one, but you put my mind at ease. Not building a hot rod, just a dependable daily driver.

Fantomworks was my favorite car show because of Dan’s no nonsense/no bullsh** attitude. I live in Tulsa and I have been trying for two years to get some fab work on my ‘69 Caprice. Unbelievable how hard it is to get your car into a shop. I got on one list and they never called me back…..another kept rolling me over a month at a time and am currently waiting for a husband and wife shop that were super nice but had work piled to the ceiling. I am a customer with cash in hand; times are tough indeed. At least my car is a clean driver; consider myself lucky. Maybe Fantomworks has spoiled me.😜 Keep up the great work guys!

Dan i get you're demeanor, I'm As grumpy and surly as you are. Every sentence or answer to a question is followed with a ya dubass, you don't actually say it you can just hear it in your voice. If a vehicle was accepted for restoration at Fantomworks, what is a realistic wait time before car is inducted and what is the average duration of a full restoration ?

That was interesting about the geometry of the front end... however, when Audrey mentioned lengthening the upper arms, I immediately thought of the rear axle, not the front (I'm more into building Jeeps with solid axles). The reason for longer control arms would be with a 4 link suspension, rotating the axle to set the drive shaft angle. With that much lift, it would also require a custom made double cardin drive shaft. As for doing the rest of that to an S-10... I'd RUN from that abortion. It sounds to me like a disaster looking for a place to happen.

I hate being that guy but having my mother and aunt die of covid19 before they figured out how to deal with it, I just want to know why you call that a "Scamdemic"? As for cars I had the best local shop build our '13 ZL1. It's a 4in stroker motor that was bored out .020 to 4.085. I have had questions on this being punched out that far. The car runs very well but the power level lead to a transmission upgrade as well. We have a '14 Mustang GT/CS also but, I somehow long for a flathead V8 or a brass car now as well. I know I will never get one but dare to dream!

Love the car choices, but being English I put the E Type first :), You two people are lucky to have each other. Get Audrey to look at a proper prepared 1960'e E Type XK engine with the triple carbs and lest hear her opinion. Surely you should NEVER run a car without a thermostat as on person stated.
