Greed is the downfall of people... This crap is insane. A neighbor told me he made $8,000 per month. That was about 10 years ago. He worked at a body shop for Isurance claims. For doing body work... Insane.

Even if its off the air, the show still had the best soundtrack out of anything I've heard on the Velocity Channel

Glad I found this video. It didnt show up in the algo rhythm so I was wondering why things had been so quiet from Fantomworks. Good to see things are still going well there. I am sure this guy found it challenging but my guess he is progressed along way with this car and is enjoying the results. That has to be the most satisfying thing to stand back and look at a prize you know you played a role in. I have a very unsatisfying job so everyday is a grind and the biggest reward is going home at the end of the day. :) Hope all is well with the Cast and Crew of Fantomworks!

Awesome idea and build. I will be watching. As far as the charity or charities go, any that are truly helping battered women, kids or veterans is a win for me. Like Dan said it is reprehensible that we even have these issues in America.

I've followed nearly all the classic/muscle car restoration shows, and Dan is the only person I've seen who clearly and honestly explains to the owner the realities of the costs involved in restoration. There's a video in which Dan and Audrey take Q&A, and he details the reality of labor and parts costs to restore a car. Also, as a fan of the Carlisle and Hershey shows, I've seen the prices people are asking, even for cars that have to hauled in on trailers or exist only as boxes of parts. As Dan cautions over and over again, if restoration costs far exceed the market value of the restored car, the owner should really think long and hard about the project.

I had a 1965 Excalibre to take care of for a lady, it sat on a Studebaker frame, it had a Chevy 327/300 engine, a borg/warner T-10 4 spd. trans with a 2.20 low gear, with a 3.24 ten bolt Posi read-end. The body was fiber glass and aluminum, it only came with a tonneau cover, no cloth top. Just a "Fair weather" car, lol. I hope this helps, Dan, if at all. The purchase price back then was $6,000.00. The Chevy Corvette didn't reach 6 grand until 1969, it came with the L/88 engine.

Dan I just happened to come upon this video. I can honestly say that when I watched your episodes on TV I knew from the start that it WAS NOT scripted. Unlike most TV reality shows the owner usually 'Acts' in front of the cameras. You sir I knew it was genuine. Take care and all the best in the future.

I think people that want to learn how to work on cars should try working at a junk yard. (Dismantler) When I was in my 20s, I worked at a junk yard and learned so much about cars eight years later I went to school. Thanks for sharing.

As a car love since my DAD and me refurbished 1950s era autos and taught me how to maintain my 1967 442, I spent my career as an aerospace engineer in the Airline industry. When I found your show nine years ago, it was like rebuilding autos with him and watching you and your guys "Reengineer' Autos to immaculate condition was nothing "SHORT" of a freekin Miracle~ Thank you so much for allowing us into your shop the lives of your Crews. IT has been a wonderful trip down Memory Lane. Hi To Audrey!!!

I enjoyed the show a lot, but i dont believe they werent paid to do the show. Who agrees to do something for nothing? Also, the show was def a boon for business so, no im not buying the hard luck tale. Woah is me, I got free advertising on TV that is still running. Woah is me, my business was helped tremendously by the show.
