Hi from France! My 2 yo baby boy has sensorial hearing loss from birth. He's been wearing hearing aids for 4 months and his speech is improving day after day! Still if a treatment comes up to restore the cells his cochleas are missing I'd be more than willing to give it a shot. There seems to still be a long way but it's worth keeping an eye on Frequency Pharmaceuticals's work. Thanks for you video! As parents with no hearing loss ourselves, it's interesting to get news from people living with it.

It failed the latest trials in April but they, Otonomy, Decibel Therapeutics, Massachusetts Eye & Ear hospital and most notably Oklahoma university are close to a true cure for the most common causes of hearing loss-or so they say.

We are years away. Fx322 is a part of the puzzle, a step in the right direction. It's an early version of a hopefully much more effective drug in the future

Multiple doses of fx322 not working as well as one dose doesn’t make sense. Unless additional time is needed in between doses because the tympanic membrane (ear drum) needs time to heal up. The injections have to pierce the tympanic membrane to be able to reach into the inner ear (cochlear) so these multiple punctures could have offset any gains in the subjects during the trial. I am not an audiologist, I am taking logical approach to explain the less than expected clinical trial results. Lastly I have congenital SNHL so my interest in Frequency Theraputics is strictly personal at this time. However, I may decide to actually invest in the company at some later date. Love your videos and I appreciate all you do to bring awareness to the importance of finding a cure for people with SNHL. Thank you

HI, I'm from hong kong, thanks for your video i always keep looking at FX-322 news because my ear hurt from noise, I really really regret it , I didn't make a protection gear before doing the job, no treatment can help me in hk. all the doctors said we don't know the matter, you need to be a friend with him in your own life. I very disappointed to hear that. now my two ears 24/7 will hear the sound(tinnitus or from my Brain), i guess is my Cochlear inner hair cells are damaged and die so the tinnitus appears. Are they going to try giving doses further apart like 6 months or 1 year between doses.? Maybe they did the doses too close together and it won't have as much effect because the first dose is still in the process of doing what it's meant to do - maybe your just adding more drug to what's already there at the present time and probably not absorbed completely. I have severe hearing loss since I was 4, I'm now 49 and I've been wishing for something like this to come along and I'd be able to hear naturally without hearing aids someday.

Fx322 doesn’t work for frequencies under 6k hz, tough, in my understanding? It does not penetrate see enough in the cochlea to affect lower.

I want to really know something I just wondered about it and I think you should do a video about it. So I read somewhere that there are 430 million people if not more deaf right now, Frequency Theraupetics is worth right about 223 million pounds. So I asked myself this why doesn't the top 10 richest people in the world donate each 1 billion dollars and choose their two favorite pharmaceutical companies right? and donate each 500 million dollars. Now the the top 10 richest people in the world has donated in total 10 billion pounds to various phamarceuticals, bear in mind last year the hearing aid industry made 6.5 billion dollars or something like that, now let's say the find a cure right? as of right an average hearing aid could be as expensive as 1000 dollars right? lets say again they find a cure, let's say it's a vaccine that goes inside your ear or whatever, each dose could cost 500 dollars right? So I said before 430 million people are deaf right now (I know that not all people have the same type of deafness,so it doesn't always involve the hearing cells which can not regenerate) but lets put 400 million people ''only'' and each dose of the vaccine costs 500 dollars 400.000.000 (million people) x 500 dollars = 200.000.000.000 Are your flipping your mind right now or not???? 200 billion dollars!!!! I don't understand as you get older you lose your hearing capabilities, using a hearing aid it does help you to improve your hearing loss but it still damages the ear because it is amplifying sounds which keep damaging your hearing cells so is a lose-win situation plus consider the fact that you are using an electronic device which is not a part of the human body right? so you'll be hearing the same sounds as the normal hearing humans but depending on the quality of your hearing aid could sound worse or a little bit better but still a distorted sound that can not compete with the natural hearing cells. So why doesn't those rich people that are gonna get older and will eventually lose hearing as they get older why not just simply invest 1 billion at least I mean you could have 9 lifetimes like a cat and still you can't blow up 150 billion dollars-84 billion dollars in 9 lifetimes let alone one!??? summing every top 10 rich people net worth gives a value of a 1.507 thousand billion dollars. So you see my point???

Luckily I don't want it, because chances are that insurance companies won't touch it with such weak results. If it's not dangerous but not conclusively helpful, there is a chance it could be approved but even then it would probably be cost prohibitive to produce on a small scale. The research might help develop other treatments in the future.
