I would keep what you have for a while. FX is constantly evolving and by the time you liquidate some of your items you don’t need or use anymore while putting that cash aside and saving if it…something new may come out that is a must have. Then you will be ready with cash on hand. Your setup is top drawer anyway. Don’t know if I would get rid of the Schmit&Bender scope though. Yeah…keep that scope for a solid powder burner.

I have a .30 MKII the only two things I want to upgrade to are the 720 plenum and the 16 stage trigger adjuster. If/when FX can figure out how to install the micro adjuster to the MKII, I would do that also.. All done!

Hi Hodge! Fitted one of the first 720s out to my MKII or didn’t!!!! The valve tube was 0.1mm larger, I believe the MKIII has a slightly larger receiver. Contacted FX and they said the were now shipping “corrected parts”. Yet another FX cock up as they say it’s a direct replacement when it’s not in my case. I know of a fair few other people that have had the same issue. Can’t believe FX didn’t realise this would be an issue for people, they advised I polish it to make it fit 😂😂😂😂😂 Waiting for a new part from the supplier! Hope the t-shirt held up OK!

First, wait time for an Impact MK3 in the US is also several months. The Land Down Under is in the same shape we are. Second, I'm watching an Impact X .30 cal listed as buy it now for $2000 US, which is only $100 off a new MK3 in the US. So, the used market is crazy here. FX is just hard to find anywhere.

Awesome video those are some crazy prices my mk2 is the same as my m3 only difference is that the 22 cal is more accurate than my 25 cal 700mm barrel in my opinion and you get a few more shots with the 72cc plenum thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍

I already put in my Mk2 the 72cc plenum and de M3 cooking block an is really nice, works perfectly in the mk2, the trigger and de fine tuning can not install in the mk2. One more thing i have the 63cc vladam plenum install i have in total 135cc of plenum 😂 its crazy..

if i shoot with the external reg at the scuba bottle on my fx, i found that it shoots better. thats also 2 reg that way

I have the M3 sniper in .22 with a 700mm barrel. Did I need it no as the FX Crown was doing very well but am I glad I did the upgrade.HELL YES such a beautiful rifle.

I live in the states and I waited over two month to receive my Impact mk3

Ordered a new Maverick in April this year. Assured it'll be here in May.. Then June.. then August.. then 6 more weeks.. now January-ish.. meantime the M3 is released! It's like we live on the moon in Australia! I could've walked to Sweden and bought it quicker. Appreciate your info Hodge. On a more positive note, I got my Oathkeeper 2000 lumen torch last week. The MK3 is a wonderful and complex tool but if you can’t get them it’s a bit of a pain. The answer is the Maverick. Bigger plenum hence more power should you ever need it, highly tuneable and all the accessories you could ever want. Yes It’s not as simple to adjust but if you only want a few pellet/slug types you can easily find a one tune to suit all and even more so with a harmonic tuner fitted and better still 25% less than the MK3. Oh and a good starting point for a .22 tune is 165/140 will run up to 34gr at any subsonic speed

I love my MK2 in .35 but I would love a heavier hammer for it as it’s maxed out but still has room to move. If I could get a heavier hammer and maybe chuck the 720 plenum on it then that would be it

Hi Hodge, Thanks for another honest opinion and I agree with you because of the upgrades that are available. Just in relation to the dual regulator on the M3 have you heard Ted’s Holdovers latest take on the M3 and he suggests that the dual reg is ideally more suitable for low power set-ups as the variation between let’s say 250bar bottle pressure and 90bar at the reg is a big step down where as the dual reg brings the power down in 2 stages instead of one which may be advantageous. Whats your take of that theory?

I've owned a (very good) MK I and I still own a (excellent) MK II. I do not regret at all the bought of the M3. Making the adjustments is a lot easier, cocking is a lot smoother, trigger is better, 20 MOA rail, 580 cc, ... It groups better at all speeds then my MK II (I guess, it's due to the carbon liner) Top of all : I was able to buy a M3 in second hand (from a compulsive buyer) for the price I get for my MK II ;)

your setup is great, with very good spreads, do you have any suggestions for fx m3 cal 177 with nsa slug 12.5 or 15gr slug ? regulator 1 and 2, valve and micro, macro??

My old man is (obviously?) into milsurp SMLE for service rifle competition and questionable modern full power bolt action hunting rifles.. I need to get a firearms license to protect his 'collection' but I'm really only interested in stuff that he has no respect for like the FX Impact or a 1873 Winchester lever action lol I would be buying almost exclusively as a hobbyist of marksmanship and no serious hunting or pest control since.. Australia... Every single impact you showed on usedguns and ozgunsales I've pondered on the shitter after the announcement of the Mk3 whilst trying to decide (as a first time and potentially only time gun buyer) if it's better value to get an upgraded/accesorised Mk2 or just grab a brand new Mk3 impact in probably .22 for slugs with the longest barrel available.. Also should keep in mind (unless you personally know something I don't about the sales of those guns) is that asking price is not equal to value.. Did they actually sell? or did the owners just decide to remove them from the market when they couldn't make enough on the old gun to upgrade to the MK3?

A friend of mine and I had a discussion how to compare a FX Impact MK 2 - Cal 22 - JSB KnockOut 25.39 Gr 964 F / S against a Tika T3 SUPER VARMINT 338 Win. Mag 225 Gr 2977 F / S. When I hit a Coke Can at 200 meters with the FX. Then he has to hit a Coke Can with the 338 Win Mag at 600 meters! The 338 Win Mag is 3 times faster and has 10 times the projectile weight! What do you think ? Is 3 to 1 fair to the distance? How would you compare it?

With regards to plenum space, I've heard that a rule of thumb is 1cc per FPE. Some of the 12ft/lb guys will actually decrease the plenumon some guns(I think to be more efficient).

I bought a .25 M3 after owning the disaster wolf ( delta) , if FX had only the MK2 impact out then thats the gun i would of bought, a perfectly tuned mk2 is definatly as good as a perfectly tuned M3, i only use two tunes and having the quick tune system definatly helps a moron like me,but if i had already had a mk2 then i probably wouldnt of bothered getting a M3,it is a shame FX dont just give you a M3 ,you do a hell of alot for that company and anyone yelling FANBOY! Is a idiot because who in there right mind would turn down a M3! .

My oath mate..Longer barrels ..They should make a exemption for airgunners to get silencers..But they will probably just give us face masks and tell us to shut up.
