@@FXKNate yeah bro got ya. A whole heap of work goes in to it. Keep it up bro you're great. I watched Shannon react to you when Johnny did it. Me and you probably felt the same about Bryan. His stuff was good, but unfortunately, behind most big business is a lot of shadiness. He should have left while he was ahead but he let himself become the villain.

This is such a great video that for a few minutes right at the beginning, I was almost starting to miss Bryan. In his apology video, Austin mentions talking about his crimes with someone prominent in the community, I believe he said something like "if you're a part of this specific music scene, you'd know exactly who he was if I told you". He also called this person his coworker and said "if you can call it that". My theory is that he was talking about Bryan. He said that this person gave him advice and said that what he did wasn't so bad. Now that we know that Bryan was covering up for Austin, I really think that's who Austin was talking about. It makes sense since Bryan was Austin's manager and morally-challenged himself. I know I have my tinfoil hat on, but my suspicion is strong! 😆
@SanrioHorror
@SanrioHorror Жыл бұрын
I dont even think that goes into tinfoil hat territory, thats probably was how it went down. Everything just became about the views and the money in Bryans head that perhaps he was desperate to have that under-wraps in favor of this corporate delusion he made with MDE

I remember the era of BryanStars, I wasn't really a fan, but then I was in my 20s by the time he started. MDE always seemed like the weirdest thing to me. Like you I saw Bryan from afar at Warped 2015, I knew who he was of course but the whole drama was something that was only vaguely on my radar. So I found out about a lot of this stuff retroactively, this is a very well done retrospective.

Austin Jones played a lot as he did have a great voice. just crazy to think that Austin Jones made it into classrooms, people thought he was just an innocent singer. im 23 now and im sure the teacher found out, i feel bad our teacher didnt know bc i bet he'd feel really bad now.

This made me emotional. What a strange weird time in my life when i loved this type of content. I relate to your monologue at the end about being alone and feeling isolated as a youth and finding refuge in this sort of thing. Its sad that the things I sought solace and comfort in were surrounded in such darkness and hate and negativity. Sometimes blatant evil. I'd like to think Bryan isnt a horrible person on the inside, and like you said, lost himself in his ego and narcissism. I hope he sees the errors of his ways now and feels remorse for the things he did.

I think Bryan really got in his own head and became someone he wasn’t, I think the internet, and the quick rise he had, as well as all the friends he made, got to him and he didn’t want to lose any of it which in turn made him a bad person. He saw reactions and shock of the questions and videos he put out and I think he genuinely enjoyed that and ended up taking it WAY too far. I don’t feel bad for Bryan because he was a grown man who knew right from wrong and could’ve prevented ALOT had he been a responsible adult who didn’t exploit children.

I listen to these kinds of KZfaq videos at work so it’s rare that I’ll ever watch the actual video, immediately subbed cause nowhere NEAR enough subscribers and for the periphery poster

Maybe he did get caught up in the fame, money, etc, and lost his way. But it doesn't change that he hurt several people in scummy, manipulative, sleazy ways along the way. I can't imagine making the decisions he did and being able to even sleep at night
@FXKNate
@FXKNate Жыл бұрын
Yeah, nothing excuses what he did. I think when I was making this video, I really wanted to present an answer as to what happened. And my mind kinda always led me back to “Bryan changed, he wasn’t always like this” doesn’t make it okay, but yeah that’s the conclusion I went to Atleast.

During this time I would say i was in the alternative then black metal community. Never really knew what the metalcore/emo scene really was as far as MCR or Hawthorne Heights. But man, these KZfaq stories past are a nostalgia trip. Thank you for this.

This video is fuckin incredible bro. I remember all this happening in real time and just feeling so bad for the MDE members & pissed off at Bryans actions, starting off as a fan of Bryan's vids myself. Also, your commentary had me dead the whole time haha Great detailed video man!
