Nice sugarmice, It's not to say that others are not doing it. It's all about what you speak. I had the chance to listen to them at Java jazz fest, all I could do was listen with utter concentration, admiration and... dude they are Sick. Chris Dave already left a wonderful imprint on drumming history. I don't think it's a 'new' genre as such, Herbie has been there.. Roy, and many others.. but it is about what one can contribute to a vision already created - and so eloquently they do.. evolution..

Body and Soul reference on 1:45. Sick bass playing, the band is so tight in the pocket. Orgasmic chords by glasper, awesome bass and vibes, chris dave on the off beats syncopations, and casey on the vocorder with those dreamy melody lines. Truly a great bad that is doing something revolutionary
