These are notoriously "cold blooded". I believe there is a "sweet spot" combination of pressure and cleaning/adjusting needle position that will make it start clean, like other Coleman stoves. But in 40+ years, I still haven't found it. Haha! I HAVE accidentally done it a couple of times, but couldn't repeat it. My hypothesis is the combination of adjustment valve block cold mass and/or the sharp 90 degree turn just before the jet interrupts the smooth passage of atomized fuel. Much of the fuel condenses there spitting liquid into the mixing chamber/burner box causing yellow flames during startup. The fact that they included fuel absorbing pads in the burner box lends credence to this hypothesis. Very well done video! Excellent work! Your production level is top notch as well. Keep up the great work.
