Dr. Voddie Baucham (@VoddieBaucham) wears many hats. He is a husband, father, pastor, author, professor, conference speaker and church planter. He currently serves as Pastor of Preaching at Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, TX. He has served as an adjunct professor at the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, TX, and Union University in Jackson, TN. He has also lectured at Southern Seminary.
Voddie Baucham holds degrees from Houston Baptist University (BA in Christianity/BA in Sociology), Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (D.Min.), an honorary degree from Southern California Seminary (D.D.), and additional post-graduate study at the University of Oxford, England (Regent’s Park College).
Voddie and his wife, Bridget have been married since 1989. They have eight children, Jasmine, Trey (Voddie, III), Elijah, Asher, Judah, Micah, Safya and Amos. They are committed home educators.

Don Whitney (@DonWhitney) has been Associate Professor of Biblical Spirituality and Senior Associate Dean at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY since 2005.
He is the author of Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life (NavPress, 1991), which has a companion discussion guide. He has also written How Can I Be Sure I’m a Christian? +tegegn In islam Muhammad died. In Buddhism Budda died. In Christianity Christ died and rose again and I have a true and personal relationship with Him. No one can tell me otherwise because He has told me Himself. I'm truly sorry that you feel this way and I pray that God will open your eyes and heart to see who and how He is and the glory of who He is because He truly is amazing. I was a skeptic, a doubter agnostic type for a long time but Christ died for and saved me and saved me not only from my sins but also my ignorance. I placed my faith in Him blindly at first and then after I had faith the proof came. He has proven Himself to me countless times and while I questioned/was skeptical of His existence and character both have proven true and glorious. It involves some faith and kind of stepping out into the unknown, well more like stepping out into the known but unseen. Knowing something without seeing the proof of it that is faith. I had faith but now I've actually seen proof of that faith. Christianity is like no other because there is none other but God. I cannot choose Him for you but I can say please, please, please do not pass Him up and really give Him a chance because one day you will see His wonder without having Him available to you.

My pleasure! I cannot take credit for a kind heart I was a terrible person, a wretched person who was saved by grace through faith by an amazing God who then came into my life and changed me. After all the fruit of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and faithfulness/faith; without those traits a person ought to double check their relational status with God to make sure that they really are what they claim. It truly is true, I can't make anyone believe I can only plead with you give Him a good long try. I strongly recommend reading the book of John out of the Bible because it is the book that summarizes who God is and so is the book of Revelation. I almost passed God up because I doubted His existence and was concerned about His character, when I got past all of that I was amazed and not at all disappointed in the Lord behind the name God. Really, really don't pass Him up REALLY try to know Him, if He's not real then you really have nothing to loose in checking Him out. I apologize on behalf of every Christian who was hateful to you. The word Christian means like Christ and it sounds like their behavior was not like Christ.

WhipperJesus nice job trolling. I'll bite. Christianity is not a religion. Religions are systems that teach salvation is achieved by certain behaviors. Christianity teaches that it's not possible to achieve salvation, regardless of one's behavior. Salvation is a gift of God that is given to God's elect, those who put their faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial atonement on that Roman cross 2,000 years ago. Yes, if you truly love God, moral behavior will follow. But moral behavior doesn't save. Why are you here commenting on this video in the first place? You've created a screen name that mocks Christianity, and you obviously seek out Christian videos in order to stir people up with your trolling. Are you bored? Or are you curious?

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news concerning His crucifixion, burial and resurrection. It is the power of God for salvation to everyone who has faith, which accords with godliness, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it is the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith. As it is written, "He who through faith is righteous shall live. " By your faith and patience, you will be saved .

Thank You Lord for raising up preachers like this servant who can explain the Gospel message verse by verse..we need more of those teachings in these evil days..we need more teachers like voddie and MacArthur and the few like them to continue teaching the true Gospel of Christ in alll boldness in the power of the Holy Spirit God continue to Bless and protect them in this evil world that reject Your Son Jesus as LORD

I desperately needed to change my path and you sent an excellent servant to redirect me! The LORD is truly merciful to a wickedly defiant soul as me!

I love Voddie. If I don't meet him in this life, I sure do look forward to eternity with him and all my Christian siblings. I've doubted my salvation for so long because I felt there had to be SOMETHING that was me involved. Something that SHOWED the authenticity of my choice despite my repeated failure of getting rid of sin. If we love Him we'll obey His teaching (John 14:15), yet how is it that I cannot love Him? I want to, I truly do, but I keep falling short of giving Him the love He deserves. How do I truly repent?

Yes, even though you have the Spirt of the Living God inside of you we still will struggle with sin ...we are still in FLESH..the flesh IS SIN and our Spirit will struggle against the flesh. But thanks be to our Father who has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit to help us..also our FATHER WILL CHASTISE HIS CHILDREN because He loves us. Amen, all this is not about us. We are HIS workmanship crested IN CHRIST JESUS.

Voddie brings back the fear, reverence and majesty of the Lord...something that is lacking in churches today. Everyone is all about this fluffy Elmo Jesus, or this Hipster Guru Jesus who spreads love and nicey feelings to everyone. I was one of those people who believed in being good, and kosher, not realizing I was nothing but a filthy wet rag in God's eyes. Yes Jesus is love, but a HOLY LOVE. A love that is beyond any earthly love or mans corrupt love....a love of righteousness, mercy , and grace that allows us to be pure and holy and worthy to have eternal LIFE with the Father. Thanks all to HIS only begotten son, whose sacrifice and righteousness gives us wretch souls a chance to enter heaven and escape eternal damnation...an act that I still cant fully comprehend but only fall on my face and repent in holy fear pleading for mercy. Voddie illustrates this majestic heavenly love like no other preacher.

Something that has been brought home to me lately is the need to realize that "I have been bought with a price and it's no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me". As such I need to obey God as my LORD & Master. The pot does not second guess or rebel against the Potter, nor do its own thing. So submission of our whole lives to God is an important aspect of repentance in that we turn away from our sins in order to obey him. But that desire and ability to obey is brought about by the Holy Spirit's work of cleansing during and after salvation. Also, choosing to abide in Jesus daily (spending time in prayer and worship and reading His word) helps to keep our focus on Him. The more time we spend with Him the less we want to sin, because it loses its draw.

In addition to my comment above, James 1:5 says "if any of you lacks wisdom let him ask God and He will give to him liberally without finding fault..." Spend some time in fasting and prayer begging God to show you... to bring you to / Grant you repentance... (2 Timothy 2:25) And lest this sound like works... in order for anybody to truly desire to do that regularly it requires God to draw in the first place. Please note: it's not a formula nor does legalism accomplish anything. We can't manipulate God; He knows what our true desires are.

I LOVE Vodie Baucham: you can be guaranteed that I never heard any preaching such as this at the self-congratulating and inoffensive, polite, man-pleasing OPC in Crystal Lake, Illinois that coddles my Episcopalian friend who didn't "need" the gospel to hell

This are the pastors, like Paul Washer, John McArthur and all that God almighty promised me in Jeremiah 3:15, when I cried to Him about all those false teachers and pastors that there are now an so many churches, I understand now why Jeremiah cried all the time, it was because the people love the lies this preachers preach. God sending the preachers they want because are carnal like them, But praise the Lord for the true ones that don't negotiated the TRUE GOSPEL OF JESUS Christ

Amen,people who have the wrong Gospel will die in their sin,they believe in a false Jesus and worship him in vain.I read Romans 9 to a "so called Christian" and after reading he told me that if that was truly God,then he'd rather go to Hell.......Folks,this is why we need to bring the Gospel to the Arminian that teaches that Jesus didn't really die and save anyone,He merely made it POSSIBLE for man to save himself if he chooses to do so.This is the false GOSPEL!!The universal,Jesus loves and wants to save everyone Gospel ,is no gospel at all.If we don't worship God indwelt by His Holy Spirit and in the very truth that He has revealed Himself,then we aren't worshiping the God of the Bible.

Lord, I am so grateful that you have raised up this man, Voddie BAUCHAM to tell it like it is in the best possible way, and I am grateful for You Tube and that he is on You Tube, available for anyone and everyone to see and listen to. Voddie is an absolute gift to us, to people of all races and all ages because, out of the millions of preachers available, so many have fallen away from the true gospels for are preaching a different gospel, something they think is more palatable to listen to for our day and age and culture, but will lead actually us away from the real God. Snd many have adopted Oprah Winfrey’s attitude, to just redefine what a Christian believer is and that will lead us astray. Some Preachers such as ministers of Progressive Christianity, for example, will change anything that God specifically tells us is wrong or has told us is a sin if they know people don’t want to hear that. Some denominations such as Jehovah’s Witnesses will delete things such as Hell. They teach that there is no Hell. There are all kinds of falsehoods all around-anything that subtracts, adds to, or twists the Word of God is false. But Voddie is able to not only preach the absolute truth of the Word without flinching to both Black and White and not get caught up in a race issue, or get carried away with Social Justice but remain with God’s attitude toward justice or any New Age falsehood, but whatever he says he stays true to the Truth and he explains it with clarity, drama, and humor. He speaks with a rare combination of sounding intelligent, thoroughly knowledgeable, very well/spoken and educated, yet down to earth and kind of conversational. He can reach anyone who is truly seeking the truth about God.

@@Anonymous-bg2cx Noah try reading your bible instead of idolizing sinners, My bible teaches that the eternal incarnate Word is God's Salvation in Luke chapter 2v30, and is Eternal Life, in John chapter 1v4, and John chapter 6v48 etc, so that He who receives by faith The Son that God sent to be the Saviour of the world is saved and He who does not receive Him is not, saved, and does have eternal life, in John chapter 6v63, and it is by receiving the eternal words of this Son, that a sinner has eternal life and eternal salvation

@@EliseeDako Some doctrines cannot be established on the basis of a few simple proof texts. The Trinity is a good example and so is cessationism or the different eschatological positions. Takes more effort than a KZfaq comment. Would need to develop a lot of things to make a case for my assertion but it is my firm belief.

Van: ALL the apostles Are dead as well as the prophets. WE HAVE COMPLETE REVELATION: We have THEIR INSPIRED WRITINGS which ARE written down in the bible that l/We can read and understand .2 TIMOTHY 3:15-17, EPHESIANS 3:3-4.

You said God wrapped himself in flesh. The only problem is God said he is one and beside him there is no other. So that would make Jesus the only God. Correct? Where does the trinity come in play? Which God wrapped himself in flesh?

One being of God shared by three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Only the Son became incarnate(wrapped himself in flesh if you please). The Son manifested in the human flesh of Jesus is fully Yahweh, the one true God.

Jesus came saying "Why do you call me good, only one is good and that is the Father." And after he died on the cross he rightfully inherited the title Father from the Father. And so as he departed from Holy Spirit came (For it shall not speak of himself, but everything Jesus has said; that is what you shall be taught and reminded.). Tell me when you can grab the wind, Tell me when you can give counsel undo God almighty, Tell me when you can become completely selfless. Then you might be able to find the answer, but until then only he knows for what I understand.

The gospel is the gospel of the kingdom! Jesus is going to return and set up the kingdom of God ON THE EARTH! God’s government ON THE EARTH! The Messiah died for his people! God resurrected the Messiah! The Messiah will resurrect his people at his coming! The destiny of the Messiah and his people is to be ON THE EARTH! The renewed restored earth! God also dwelling with them! Rev 21 Matt 24 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Jesus said the Father is the only true God! John 17 3 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.
