@@bama101010 - wow, you need some serious clarification on how to interpret scripture. Paul's own teaching and example make clear that he both believed and taught that baptism is essential to salvation. He had established the church in Corinth, and the people there were baptized as a result (Acts 18:8). He himself was baptized because he had been told what he must do so (Acts 9:6), and what he was told was to be baptized and wash away his sins (Acts 22:16). He later taught that baptism is essential to come into Christ and into His death (Rom. 6:3,4; Gal. 3:27). Furthermore, he says in 1 Corinthians 1:17 that he was sent to preach the gospel. What does the gospel say about baptism? It says that baptism is necessary to salvation (Mark 16:15,16; 1 Peter 3:21). When Peter preached the gospel for the first time on Pentecost, he taught that baptism was necessary for the remission of sins -- Acts 2:38. Paul taught the same gospel, not a different gospel (Gal. 1:8,9). Hence, when Paul preached the gospel, he also preached that baptism is necessary to salvation. Nothing here or elsewhere denies that. Why can't you just be happy to have these resources to learn more about the Word of God. Why do you choose to put dissension between believers ?. I wish you well....

@@7eventytimes716 THE TWO GOSPELS The (good news) gospel given to the children of Israel (by Peter and the 11) was that if they would believe that Jesus was the Son of God, that they would receive an earthly kingdom. This called the “gospel of the kingdom of God.” This is what the children of Israel were looking for. They were looking for the Messiah who would restore an earthly kingdom, not a sacrificial Lamb. This gospel required them to be under the Law of Moses. This is not our gospel. The (good news) gospel given to the Gentiles was called the “gospel of the grace of God” and granted those that believe that (1) Christ Jesus is the Son of God, (2) that He was crucified on the cross for their sins, (3) that He was buried, and that He rose on the third day will receive an eternal existence in heaven with God the Father, and God the Son. This is our gospel. As you can clearly see, these were two totally separate and distinct gospels, and two totally separate and distinct churches. We believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God, and that He died on the cross for our sins. In order to fully understand the gospel that we are saved by, we need to understand not only what the Bible says, but also who the Bible is speaking to in regards to each Book, chapter, and verse. If we read the Bible, and try to apply Scriptures that were written only to (for) the Jews, then we will live in a state of confusion, not knowing what God has written that pertains only to us. In the Bible we were referred to as Gentiles, since we were not a part of the house of Israel. So it is understandable that we need to be fully aware of what Bible verses apply to us, and which Bible verses (apply) applied only to the house of Israel. Question #1: Who were Peter and the 11 commanded to preach the gospel to? Answer: The house of Israel. We see Jesus command Peter and the 11 to preach only to the Jews. “These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Matthew 10:5-6 Question #2: Who was the Apostle Paul commanded to preach the gospel to? Answer: The Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. We see in Acts 9:15 where the Lord Jesus Christ told Ananias who the Apostle Paul would be preaching to. “But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel.” Acts 9:15. We clearly see that Jesus Christ commanded Peter and the 11 to preach only to the Jews. Additionally, it is equally clear to see that Jesus Christ commanded Paul to preach to everyone. P.S. Crispus was the Chief ruler of the Synagogue and so he was water baptized under the gospel of the kingdom. Acts 18:8: And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized. Does Acts 18:8 say that Crispus believed in the death, burial and resurrection? NO. It just says that Crispus believed "on" the Lord. If you study your Bible, you will see that salvation came to the Jews through their belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, not in the death, burial and resurrection. The Jews were saved by believing in, on, or through the ""name"" of the Lord Jesus. That is different from our gospel of the crucifixion - death, burial and resurrection. Have you not heard of the stoning of Stephen? Why did they stone Stephen? Because Stephen told them that he saw Christ Jesus standing at the right hand of God - meaning that Christ Jesus was ready to return to earth and begin the process of making the whole earth His kingdom. These Jews knew the scriptures. Acts 7:56 - "And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God."

@@7eventytimes716 Please study your Bible as commanded in II Timothy 2:15 - "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." When we "rightly divide the word of truth," we rightly divide the gospel of the kingdom which was for the Jews, from the gospel of the grace of God, which is for everyone. Ephesians 1:13-14 - "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory." ALL preachers that knowingly combine the gospel of the kingdom, which was for the Jews, with the gospel of the grace of God, which became the gospel for everyone after the Jews stoned Stephen, are II Corinthians 11:14-15 Ministers of Satan. II Corinthians 11:14-15 - "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. BTW, all denominations including the Catholic Church combine these two gospels. If you attend a denomination or the Catholic Church, then you attend an assembly that combines these two separate gospels. God blinded the nation of Israel until the Gentiles fill up the "body of Christ." Romans 11:25 - "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in." When the "body of Christ is filled, they will meet Christ in the clouds. I Thessalonians 4:17 - "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." At that time, the nation of Israel will not be blinded anymore, and the Great Tribulation will occur. Christ will come back to earth to the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14:4) and He will fight against the nations that battle Jerusalem. In Zechariah 14:9 we see that Christ will establish His earthly Kingdom. That is why the gospel of the nation of Israel was called the gospel of the Kingdom, as seen below. Zechariah 14:1-9 - "Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. 4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. 6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: 7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light. 8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. 9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

@@7eventytimes716 You say that our church started at Pentecost. However, that is not what our Apostle Paul says. The verses below are written about God saving the Jews. God blinded Israel (in part) so that they can be saved. Do you see verse 28 where Paul says that Israel is an enemy of our gospel, but that they are elect, so they are beloved for God the Father's sake? You are misinterpreting the Bible just like every denominational preacher does. Romans 11:25-28: 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. 28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes.

The trinity is a false pagan doctrine and whosoever believes in it, worships a false pagan god, the trinity god which is not biblical. In the Bible we only find two distinct divine beings: God, the Father, and His [only begotten] Son, known to us by the name of Jesus Christ. And regarding the Holy Sprit the Scriptures tell us that it is the Spirit of God and of the Son. John 14:1 "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." John 17:3 "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." 1 Corinthians 8:6 "But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him." Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:" 1 John 2:22 "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son." Two divine beings, and not three. Galatians 4:6 "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father." And God said, I quote, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3)

Totally wrong. The Trinity is damnation. The God of Israel *does not* consists of three gods rolled up into one abomination. If you've read the Early Church writings *before Nicea* you know that the creeds that came in the 300's and 400's came as a result of what was already being taught before them.
