I have seen several videos which explain how to click the "I acknowledge" button, but do not explain exactly what is being acknowledged. Do we need to have privacy disclosures on our website if we acknowledge this, and if so, what are the requirements of those disclosures?

I was wondering about the technical implications of not doing this. I have a client who has google signals implemented. I checked GTM and GA4 myself, however according to google support it is not implemented. Could this be a blocker?

What happens if you don't acknowledge? I've set up tons up GA4 accts for clients, some who have chosen not to acknowledged this and the data still flows into GA4.

Hey Seth, I actually don't know but when someone within Google walked me through setting up GA4 they made sure to direct me to this acknowledgement. So we've added it into our process to make sure we are in compliance.

@@toddnevins But are you in compliance just be checking the box? The text of the acknowledgement implies that you have some kind of warning on your (client's) site to let visitors know you're tracking them.
