@@lunarequine7734 really good points, I can relate so much to what you said 💜❤💜❤💜 I think she's said she has every diagnosis under the sun, I wonder what will be next? I don't follow gabbi hanna but I once saw a tweet where she blamed her transphobia on adhd. ADHD does not make someone an asshole, she needs to stop using it as a weapon. It's a daily struggle and most people I've met with adhd are great, friendly and really likable people that may be impulsive with some things, but not in a malicious way. Often self esteem and self consciousness makes us really try hard not to do something irritating, let alone do anything close to what she does

As a person diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood, I'm frankly offended by Gabbie's attempts to hide behind her ADHD to excuse her awful behavior. Most people with ADHD are not assholes. We can be challenging to deal with at times for various reasons, sure. We may not always listen very well, we may forget to fulfill obligations, we may interrupt a lot, we may say things we later regret. But Gabbie goes beyond that, she's just a foul human being. There's no excuse for that.

There once was a poet named Gabbie, her writing had gotten quite flabby, Andy Warhol was right, she needs to give up the fight, her 15 minutes were actually quite shabby. This is my tribute of doggerel for Miss Gabbie.

I have been a teacher of children with ADHD since 1992. These children are intelligent, insightful, motivated to improve in all areas, and their personalities are charming. I have kept in touch with many through the years as they have grown and developed into wonderful adults who are contributing a lot to our society. Please do not attribute negative qualities to those who have ADHD.

Dr. Grande you sure outdid yourself choosing this case to study well to address with good information to dispel some myths about ADHD and some common problems that public figures like Gabbie Hanna have to learn how to face up to well in order to continue succeeding as a public figure. I like the way you stated over again that having been diagnosed with a mental illness is no pass for behaving badly when pointing out a lot of things that Gabbie Hanna should not have been doing while acting in public that it always should be taken lightly since she is a public figure now. I like how you said that you don't know if Gabbie Hanna has ADHD for sure since that kind of diagnosis these days gets made by some psychiatrists far too often. Your summary in this case study is outstanding. This case study focuses too on how public figures have to face up to how much harder it is for a public figure to change careers. Like when a successful in social media public figure like Gabbie Hanna works towards going from being a social media public figure to being a successful writer. Dr. Grande could you please do a case study of some historical public figures too? Like for example author and excellent writer of English fiction Jane Austen whom most people who are not writing movie scripts and a lot of university students today no longer appreciate that much after she achieved success as a writer instead?

I cant think of anything more terrifying than ending up as the topic of a Dr Grande video. The man never misses and his roasts are the most excellent on the internet. The man roasts so incredibly well that he never utters a curse word and every line makes you go OOF! Lol. No one can argue with the man because they all know deep down that he's right.

When I was diagnosed with ADD in my early 50's, the neuropsych doctor told me that when people are intelligent, sometimes they "get away" with ADD when they're young, but eventually there comes a time when they can't keep all the balls in the air, so to speak. For me that was in my 40's. What had been quirks of my personality became insurmountable problems that ruined both my home life and my career. So I can understand someone thinking that their ADD "increased exponentially" if it hasn't been explained to them that it was always there but they can't cover for the bad symptoms any more.

Holy cow, Dr. Grande. You are unbelievably brutal while remaining very measured and fair. Hats off to you, sir. I have been diagnosed with ADHD for over two decades and use medication and coping mechanisms learned in professional therapy to manage my symptoms. When I heard about Gabbie Hanna using ADHD as an excuse for her behavior, I was immediately skeptical (based on my own experience living with the disorder) and also a bit offended, particularly considering that I have worked extremely hard to handle my own behavioral issues.
