I’m not denying that SA survivors are doubted by any means, I just think that the Misogyny of our society makes it more difficult for men to be taken seriously as SA survivors, and that they have a harder time finding support from even their own community. It doesn’t undermine the experiences of women to admit that our society isn’t set up to be supportive of male SA survivors just due to our culture and the gender biases people hold especially regarding men’s willingness to sex etc. I totally agree W ur point that people won’t always be on the side of the survivor but I was specifically referring to how we have made strides in trying to change this and stopping now would harm the progress that has been made.
