@HuwEvans. 97 points in 2018-2019 and 92 points in 2021-2023. Both years they came in 2nd to City by a single point. To not win the league with that many points won is insane.

@GIBBO4182 He is absolutely a Premier League legend. People are already forgetting Liverpool won 97 points in 2018-2019 yet still didn’t win the league. And won another 92 points in 2021-2022 and lost the league again to City by one point. Arsenal’s “Invincible’s” “only” won 90 points by comparison and the 2nd place team that year was Chelsea with 79 points. Klopp is a Premier League legend without a shadow of a doubt.

Does Gabby realize Liverpool won 97 points in the 2018-2019 season yet still lost the title race to City by one single point? And won 92 points in the 2021-2022 season yet lost the title race to City again by one single point? By comparison, Arsenal’s “Invincible's” won the 2003-2004 title with 90 points and Chelsea were 2nd that year 11 points behind with 79. At a certain point, people need to recognize that Klopp and Liverpool came up against a City machine under Pep that is off the charts. For Liverpool to win 97 points out of a possible 114 and still not win the league is insane, let alone 92 points. Context is very important when discussing Klopp’s legacy.

Exactly, Liverpool are a 6-8th place team with a good European record. He got a title which is incredible, hopefully their supporters won’t get too frustrated when they drop back there from next season

Worst losing home run in the history of the club? Went unbeaten at home from April 2017 to January 2021. Have lost 2 at home in the PL since March 2021. Have lost 4 of their last 44 PL games.

The greatest knock on Klopp as a manager is existing at the same time as the single most dominant manager in Prem history. The man holds the fourth greatest winning percentage of any manager in Prem history, better then Mourinho or Wenger.

Add Arsene Wenger to those two. He changed the way managers approach players, diet, fitness, the game etc. His success was also up there with the best, even if he was poor towards the end of his time at Arsenal. Pep and Ferguson, most definitely, but to leave out Arsene is not right. He deserves so much credit for the way he changed the game.

Klopp is a premier League legend, he was just unlucky to be against Man City who have the best team we have ever seen. The brain trust should shut his mouth, he talks nonsense, and klopp is more of a legend than every Villa manager in the modern era. I am not a Liverpool fan but I appreciate Klopp.

Arsenal are now realising what Liverpool were dealing with in 4 out of the 5 previous seasons with Man City. To get 97 points and 92 points and not win the league on both occasions shows how good City have been. Any other era and Klopp has at least 3 League Titles

Klopp is definitely a legend. Everybody is getting caught up in the moment. This man delivered first prem title in ages, and a champions league. Pushed a once in a lifetime Man City team to the brink multiple times (and should they be found in violation of the charges…and they will, years from more when the owners have drained the club dry and no longer feel the need to have their lawyers fight it) Klopp will have more silverware under his belt. *Aston Villa fan here.

Basically if you win a league you’re a legend. It doesn’t matter even if it’s just one title, you’ve still done enough to earn that accolade. Gabby should be more aware, being a former player who didn’t win anything, of how hard it is to win the league.

Mancity did run away with everything. What is Simon on about? He has only won the EPL once from Manchester City for Christ's sake. Klopp is the only manager who gets credit for a challenge. History remembers winners, not those that made the race competitive. It is only at a club like Liverpool that Klopp will be classed as a legend because expectations are so low. You will not coach a Madrid team, city, or Bayern and win one championship and be called a legend because, at those clubs, the bar for success is high. But I get it he a Liverpool legend because they are a small mentality club that relies on past glories.
