It is always wild to see the differences in someone raised female vs someone raised male with these horror games. Gab immediately knew something was off when she saw her door open while Jack didn't even notice it. Gab knew a lot of what feels like VERY BASIC safety tactics while Jack ran around with the bear spray 😅 As someone who is ftm, I am always a little floored to see the contrast

Men aren't used to having to use maces/bear sprays for protection and it shows 😂 He sprayed it in enclosed environments, sprayed it in front of him and ran right through the mist, sprayed it all around as if he was applying bug repellant... Sean would be blind as a bat and coughing up a lung for a good while if he did something like that for real 😂 I know most of it wasn't serious but still

I've had to maced my step mom before (she attacked my sibling) and was lucky being in an enclosed space it didn't get on me, Jack walking through it made me get phantom pain lol

The manager knows whats up. He says "the god" in a conversation when talking about the skull. Silas seems like the guy you originally saw walking through the forest when you first arrived at the park. Maybe the whole town was in on it. It was dismissed too easily by the police...

Roseburg is a town in the state of Oregon, in the US, where I was raised! The majority of western Oregon is covered in dense fir and pine tree forests. I live in one of them! Not hard to believe spooky stuff has happened though. The state parks / wilderness areas can span massive areas. The one I live in is 630,000 acres or 984 square miles.

I was thinking it was odd and a lil sus dude had a shovel. But then when gab said “he may have a metal detector in his car”. It made me realize he probably doesn’t have a car cuz why not keep the shovel in the car for avoid suspicion, or even just outside against the building? You never meet Mitch, Connor figures out your name to give to the creep Silas, not to mention Connor keeps having YOU go out and check the issues (not new to doing this, but new to the area), the Ranger is conveniently telling you not to go farther down Lacey Trail, and for the fact the for someone who gets so irritated by these unauthorized "campers" Connor didn't think to at least look at who was down there while the cult was starting a fire and warn you about it? Ya I don't trust Connor. Notice how he just completely disregards the manly scream? That was brought up before Jack even started talking about weird stuff. 100% think Connor was just their guy to cover things up. He even said he was about to start cooking something hot- and then he stops himself. What was he eating, hm? Very sus. Also the guard by the gate was sus too, saying not to head north even tho that's our sector. I think that whole park was in on it, to Mitch, to the guy in the tape saying it's the "Safest Park", to the people at the diner- Omfg the diner! Everyone keeps saying how the burgers are the best! The burgers are made of people! And Jack ate the burgers! 🤯 I don't think authorities were even called.

They said she just up and left (if I remember correctly), plus Tower 11 is awfully close to the abandoned part of the woods! I agree ! John Wolfe played a shorter game called Do you copy that was similar to the camper section. It was excellent too ! I think this dev might have been inspired by it. Firewatch is one of my favorites too.

I hate how I get so unbelievably paranoid in this level "Ironbark" even though I know what's going to happen but it's just the feeling that you know there's someone out there and that you have to be vigilant. Especially over the fact that you have to go down to get supplies and back up while risking your exposure to threats.

Ive watched 4 channels play this now, 2 no commentary, and 2 commentary, each one is so different, love it! Fears to Fathom games are so good with little details obscured by older style graphics and grainy filters, everyone notices different things

The one thing I don’t understand is why no one believed the character/said they have no proof when the reason they ran in the end was because of a camera flash from them taking a photo? I know it’s just a game and maybe there’s a reason but it just confuses me lol

@shrugemoji7476 that makes sense but it doesn't show him dropping it. If that were me I would not drop that camera unless it impeded my escape in some way. It was the only evidence. You know

Because the in the real life story, he was told by police "you should've took a picture as proof" and didn't have one because he was so frightened he didn't think of taking a photo or saving a photo or obtaining proof. Just trying to escape the woods alive. You have to remember the "good endings" are based on the real life person's experience. The "bad endings" are what could've been if they hadn't done what they did and got caught.

Gab just tossing all the food on the floor. I'm just imagining a scenario that she's at her fridge going through it and just tossing everything on the floor. Then Sean just rounding the corner with a cup of coffee watching for a minute and saying "Hey hun... whatcha looking for?" Gab: "I'm lookin for the pepperoni!" Sean: 😣"-I...ate em last night..."

I love the Fears to Fathom series and I genuinely can't wait for episode 5, but why for the love of God do they have to put in the most visceral and disgusting eating sounds. It instantly pulls me out and makes me gag every time.
