Thank you. Not from either culture but the fact that the French speaking islands are not included in Latin American culture when they speak a Latin language, eat similar food, and have other similarities to the rest of Latin America baffles me. Brazil is always included even the Philippines sometimes. 🤷🏿‍♀️

MrsAlmightyKey creole and than French are the most popular languages amongst Haitians but Spanish follows and after I think Arabic... if I’m not mistaken as we have a small Lebanese population there too! It’s very common for Haitians to speak Spanish I can’t speak for Dominicans but my dad is fluent and I’m passing 😂 our culture is super rich as we are literally a mix of African French and Hispanic culture! 🇭🇹☺️

Kotani Yumiko Haitians ARE Latinos. French is a latin language so they are classified as Latinos. They are not Hispanic because their national language is not Spanish, but they are Latinos. You need to realize that Spanish is not the only Latin language.

@@kotaniyumiko Latino means their language comes from the romance language, so if the country's language is Spanish, French, Portuguese, Romanian or Italian (and many more only spoken in Europe) they are by definition Latin. In this case, of course, we're talking about Latin American nations (nations whose language is romance and are located in the American continent) which only includes Spanish, French and Portuguese as languages, and of course, includes Haiti (french).
