I like people pointing out that Chandler could have certainly had it in the bag had he not habitually dropped his hands and beckoned Gaethje on to hit him flush with power shots to the entertainment of the Madison crowd, and despite being up 22-20 on strikes.

Right when this fight was getting targeted we knew it's gonna get the bonus... Even though there were 3 other epic fights later on the card but non of them even came close to this one

@@Eyeofthetiger69 It had more output but Gaethje vs Chandler was more dramatic It was an underrated fight though and it had poor crowd pop but it's a great fight...Gaethje vs Chandler took the bonus due to hype , name value, action, crowd anticipation , it was understandably overshadowed and UFC put it in their video titled "Fight you forgot in 2021"

I disagree with the narrative that if Chandler 'fought smart, he would have won.' He literally came out fighting behind his jab and starting shooting early into the 2nd, 1 min into doing that he almost got put out cold. He's a good fighter arguably the most entertaining in the sport, Dustin will piece him up very very bad when they fight.

1st round Chandler had more impact 2nd round Gaethje had the knockdown 3rd round Gaethje had a slight edge in impact and Chandler was not even moving his head It's clear that Gaethje won the fight but Chandler won the crowd's respect
