Yeah I was happy to see Gaethje perform well but super sad to see Tony lose and lost the chance at the infamous Khabib/Title fight. All due to covid. I like both of them so it was one of those fights where no matter who wins still mixed feelings.

It’s sad but it really is bound to happen. Any time after a fighter reaches 35, they will see that decline in the next 5 years as the next generation reaches their peak, and they will be dethroned.

The fact there was no crowd meant we heard every Gaethje punch crash into Tony's head and the tennis grunts by Justin all added to making this a brutal fight to watch and to there being something brutally primal about the whole thing.

But never lost a round never lost a fight. Look at the face of his opponents when he has them downed. Deer in headlights. I also think Trevor Whitman is too good not to give Justin a great game plan. i looked at this many times and i can see why some called it a early stoppage even tony, but when you look at the enfeebled way tonys feet and legs were holding him up, the unanswered sledge hammer blows to the face he was receiving and how those blows staggered him around almost lifelessly coupled with the very weak way he retreated...if justin wanted to he could of charged tony at those times and clubbed him unconcious, but justin knew tony was beaten and took his time lettting the ref realize this

Tony was literally walking in to punches after round 2 ended didn't even try to use his reach, it's almost like he didn't know Justin is an accurate counter puncher with lots of fire power.

17:03 maybe if he used his jab things would have gotten different specially with that massive reach advantage that he didn't use, his Jab was always one of the best parts of his boxing when he used it, which is almost never.
