Allegedly, the in-universe reason that you can still see Kyrios’s face and body on the underside of the flight form is because on-lookers need to be made aware that kyrios is in-fact a Gundam when it’s on a mission. Part of Celestial Beings’ policy is that it only uses gundams in its armed interventions, so it makes sure that people know it isn’t breaking its own rules or using a weapon from another power

In the anime Kyrios' underside was shown multiple times, the ones that I can remember was when Allelujah was climbing into its cockpit, and a close-up shot of its submachine gun firing with the underside in full view

One of the most iconic scenes of Kyrios was when they showed the underside of it when it was captured by the HRL. They were using cutters on the cockpit while in flight mode and the debut of the shield turning into claws. The same episode they showed Nadleeh.

For anyone that might be curious about LEDs for your kits, there are 3rd party lights you can get from GundamLED. They're s bit more expensive than the Bandai ones, but have the ability to switch modes and turn on/off without taking apart your kits.

Mecha, you're wrong about the Exia Avalanche. The quality of plastic used for that one is high, solid and stiff compared to the 2009 version. I recommend you try and finish it.

This is really raising my hopes up for an Exia 2.0. I'm really lovin' the added articulation on the chest and the overall improvement to the design versus the NG 1/100.

Being a GUNPLA builder for a few years now, I had one thing to say before this kit's release. AMBITIOUS. I felt that Bandai was rolling to high a number with this kit. Now that the kit has been released for the masses, I can say without a single shadow of a doubt, that the MG Kyrios IS THE MOST WELL ENGINEERED PIECE OF PLASTIC ART TO EVER EXIST IMO. It was able to do something that most kits struggled with back then. To combine Show accuracy, Rigidity, Novelty and playability into one well designed package. This kit took advantage of it's design and was able to incorporate most of it into it's articulation. It really shows us how far Bandai has come when it comes to designing a kit this good so much so that by around 2024, this may become the possible standard for other kits moving forward. This is a kit is, dare i say, THE PINNACLE OF MODEL KIT DESIGN and I can't wait for the day I get this on my shelf.

Just ordered myself a Kyrios today, so I'll be spam watching this for a while :) Plus, Mecha, you make reviews fun to watch. Mostly because your excitement (or not, depending) for the kit actually comes through in the video.

Love it! I'm glad to see a demo of the L.E.D unit as a few months ago I bought the 1/100 00 Qan-t and absolutely..... never again! It kept falling apart no matter what I did and usually I can get away with snapping together. Now more than ever I need this for my collection.

I love the Abulhool detail, the Plutone getting announced today has made me hopeful.

Mecha, you actually do need 2 LEDs. The back of the GN drive for the Kyrios extends, just not by a lot.

The one thing that I noticed from the 2020 Kyrios compared to other MG gundams is that on the Kyrios, the shoulder hole that goes into the chest peg, you have to insert the arms upside down because there is a little pin on the chest joint that aligns with the shoulder hole and when you rotate it down, the little shoulder plate hole thing actually stays on!!! It doesn’t come off and that small little improvement is so nice!!!

I just got a Master Grade Kyrios from USA Gundam Store and it was a fantastic build, beautiful accessories, put all the sticker markings on and got two LED units (green) with LR41 batteries. I think it was this review that got me interested in Kyrios. Also, video reviews like this makes the Gunpla look bigger than it really is.

After watching this and the Dynames video, I'm looking to get both. You mentioned a stand, some detailing pens, and something called "God clippers", do you have recommendations for those? These would be my first Master Grade sets (and first sets in over 20 years) so I'm a little lost on some of this stuff.

You're right, even in the anime when Kyrios is transformed you can see the chest and sometimes the face when it's flying

Missile pods were used only one brief moment in the show so I think it's still amazing that they included it.

If the part with that silver sticker is clear you can modify it so the sticker slides in behind clear plastic. Thatd clean it up.

I bought a MG Exia a few months ago that was sturdy as a brick, didn’t have any of the reported problems. It still has the red bandai logo, so its an older release too...
